NopeProblem is do 80,000 people know who they are.
He's obsessed with WWE. I think this is why he picked Wembley. There's plenty of stadiums in London never mind the UK he could have held it. Celtic Park or Hampden Park in Glasgow. SoL or SJP in the North East. Etihad in Manchester. Emirates, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or London Stadium. A gate of 40k would be impressive but in 80k stadium it'll look terrible.Nope
We'll see how it does but maybe booking his weekly shows and sorting his talent out might come as priority over booking a stadium in a different country.
It's a very "fan" thing to attempt and completely out of their audience range. As folk have said on here, it will attract WRESTLING fans in the UK and Europe but AEW fans? There isn't enough of them, that's a fact. He has enough money to rent Wembley but the bloke doesn't seem to have a realism filter. I hope it's a great event but with that roster and the scope of alone, I can't see it. He hasn't even set up ROH properly yet and now he's doing an event in a different country in an 90k stadium... There's obviously no one around him to say no to him and it's his money so he's going to do what he wants, no matter how crackersHe's obsessed with WWE. I think this is why he picked Wembley. Wembley was picked because it's been 30 years since SummerSlam. The WWE held a PPV in Cardiff and the O2 but not Wembley.
WWE are a billion dollar entity for a reason. I don't know how much it costs to rent out Wembley stadium but I reckon the 02 is cheaper with less risk and overheads.Feels like it’s the wrong way round. MITB should be at Wembley and AEW should be at the 02.
This.Lmao at some of these salty commentsmust have really upset a lot this being at Wembley, who the fuck cares man, it’s good for wrestling and more so the UK wrestling scene, regardless of what they do.
I don’t care much for WWE ( especially with Nonce tash Vince back) these days but I was happy for the people when they announced the show at the principality and O2 and wasn’t questioning how much it cost to host it there because you know I’m a wrestling fan not a geek who cares about the money side of things that doesn’t effect them at all (same as ratings)
AEW announces a UK show and everyone is critical as fuckgive it a rest, either be happy more wrestling is good for everyone or be a little bitch and get upset over something that doesn’t concern you.
