Enjoyed both Rumbles in all honesty, Nakamura winning was great. Also loved that Ronda turned up wearing Roddy's Jacket.

Both her and Roddy were trained by Judo Gene LeBell, she was a huge fan of Roddys and he gave her permission to use the Rowdy name in MMA and they became close friends as well. Wasn't a tribute act at all, it's a Homage and it's been part of who she is when she was tapping out other lasses for fun.

I hope she develops a good range of wrestling moves, by that I mean her Judo background, I can imagine it'll get a bit tedious watching hip tosses and armbars every match.

The 'Rowdy' nickname is fine, the jacket is fine, but I don't think she should be using the logo.

    Explain why it is.

    Don't just dismiss it.

Hoping that she busts out a few canadian destroyers, a 360 corkscrew moonsault and slaps her thigh on all her kicks tbh.

Bit of an odd thing to kick up a fuss about.

It's like saying Charlotte Flair is a tribute to Ric Flair with that logic, it's bollocks. It's just a look which has been passed down the generations and the same applies to Piper and Rousey.

And to ensure no one else can copy of Piper without her or Piper's son consent she's actually trademarked the name 'Rowdy' only yesterday

She was paying homage to her friend and someone she looked up to, who also gave her permission to use the Rowdy nickname. The jacket was given to her by Roddy’s family to wear as well. That in no way makes her a tribute act.

I've already said the nickname is fine, and the jacket is fine.

It's the logo I take issue with.

Charlotte is Ric Flair's daughter, he's such an icon that all she could do was embrace it.

So she takes Roddy's nickname and then trademarks it for herself when he's dead? That's pretty poor.

Eh. What's worse, trademarking the name for herself with permission from his son, or some random wrestler using his gimmick without the family's blessing. I dunno what planet you're on today but I know which 1 I'd rather have

And why do you take an issue to the logo? baffles me

So it's okay for her to have the nickname, but no one else can?

    A nickname isn't a gimmick.

Using Piper's nickname is more likely to hold someone back. If they were anywhere near as good as him they wouldn't need it, if they were limited it would highlight it.

    Because it's Piper's logo, it's iconic.

In other news Mr Rinse and repeat Lesnar is going to drop the belt soon , booing Reigns despite him being on the road all the time and being no-where near the Universal title in months . Brock has done the bare minimum for this god-awful title reign,

Didn't see a problem with the Rousey thing to be honest as she has always been a wrestling enthusiast and she was good friends with Piper, she also is a star as well.

    Back to horrendous booking.

Give Finn Balor the “iron man” spot in the RR, then have him lose a qualifying match for the EC. To Cena. Of course they do. Looks like he will be around a while longer if he is gong after the Universal title, as opposed to the Worlds which I thought they’d want on him to break Flairs record

I'm happy with Reigns being Champ as long as it gets rid of part timers like Lesnar. TBH I'd be happy with James Ellsworth as long as its a full timer. Rousey has signed full time as well, bit skeptical but we'll see.

Enjoyed the women's rumble, but they really need to have a think about how to work the eliminations more convincingly.

The top rope is shoulder/neck height for most of them, so being pushed or thrown over it just doesn't work. It was too noticeable how they were all having to leap as high as they could to jump themselves over (often missing and ending up tangled), or climb themselves up and over when someone was supposed to be pushing them!

His contribution last night was a effing tweet man , wrestlemania season and he can't be bothered to turn up and taunt his losers now
  18. Nothing said from the chest beating, WWE supporting neanderthals about the amazing debut of Rockstar Sp...sorry Drake Maverick (!) on WWE 205 Live who received a massive pop from the fans in attendance not seen since the prime of the Hulk Hogan era.

  20. Welllll...as soon as I went to wwe.com and saw his "debut" I pissed myself laughing. Introduced by the legend that is Daniel Bryan He is only doing what he was doing in Impact Wrestling (walk out and talk and not actually do any wrestling at all) but having to carry a name that is straight from the book of 80's male porn stars.
