Why do people from Newcastle

It seems they've got to make amends about not being a proper Geordie by being the most vitriolic to Sunderland

I've noticed how some of them over-accent themselves and always at a volume which should carry a health warning.

This when abroad on holiday. They speak in their shitty accent loudly and then look round to see if anyone heard so they can talk about where they are from.
