The Fishing Thread

That's where they are, muckle flugga.
Ahh really? I go there regular, well covid fucked it for the last few years, and the fishing Is superb. We stay in the community center place on Unst opposite flugga. We’ve had loads over 30/40lb. I nearly shat my pants the first time I had a coalie over 30lb. I was used to 2/3lb’ers from roker/Hendon

The ling up there are absolute monsters. Those are what always shock me we get a giant. Horrible looking fking things too :)

Beautiful place mind. Very laid back people, still some sense of community I find.

They are in a guest house?Second year they have been up.
Yer plenty of them. They go offshore or they fishing from the shore? We get a canny discount at the community centre tbh, has pool table etc too so ideal for a big group.

West Coast for me this year and then back up there in 2023 with my pals back home.

A quick note for anyone thinking of fishing South Shields pier.

Its closed. For two days. You can fish up to the first gate but no further and they will not take kindly to climbing round the gate as they have divers down doing maintenance work.

They also have CCTV but it is not accessible to the public.

Avoid Roker like the plague then, twice the amount of lager drinking idiots.
