Hardly anyone cares about this. I don’t understand why it’s getting any coverage. They’re piss poor at football. Possibly put it on Dave channel or something.

Women's football was doing O.K. until the F.A. banned it because it was becoming a bit too popular. They're starting from scratch again.

It costs clubs a bomb as well. The clubs should scrap women’s football. If the woman are so arsed then start your own clubs don’t try to get a head start by jumping on an already established club.

It doesn't cost the clubs 'a bomb'. If it did they wouldn't run women's teams. According to David Sullivan, it costs 'peanuts' to run West Ham's women's team.

That’s part of the strategy and tactics that makes this distinct from men’s football. The keepers are shorter slower and not as athletic so the Beth Meads of the game go for long distance lobs. A beauty to watch.
It’s like putting Ronny Corbett in goal to face Barcelona. They’d take the piss. The whole thing let down by one player being shit.

Rarely you win the odd meaningless game but when it comes to it we always put you back in your small box. Nothing little nation like say djibouti or somewhere. Most people think it’s a city in England.

Kim Little is one of the best players in the women’s game and could walk in to the England team. Scotland’s problem is depth.

It has never been anything but unpopular and shit. Keys & Gray used to be creased watching it.

It costs a fortune but you have to do it in case you look sexist.

I think it’s more that Scotland are shit at sport. If there was a competition for shooting up skag and drinking cans they’d be world champions.

About 90,000 in Azteca to watch Mexico v England in 1971.
Mate Man City get less than 2k a game man. Haway it’s a joke man. It’s only on because it’ll look sexist if it’s not.

At the current rate of improvement Scotland would be among the top European teams by 2023. The scale of investment is relatively modest so if Scotland decides to go for it, will also be good for a resurgent Sunderland.

It will be watched on tv by hardly anyone and poorly attended because nobody cares.

Around 1.5M people attended the last World Cup in Canada.

The average attendance was 26,000 and over 54,000 attended Canada v England.

Tonights opening game between France and South Korea, at the Parc des Princes, is a sell-out.

Check out some of the attendances at the men's World Cup before football became fashionable.

The 1990 semi-final v Germany wasn't even a sell-out.

The most successful professional leagues (are not in England tbh) draw about the same as League One or Championship in the EFL, so that is a weakness in the finances of the women’s game. There’s over reliance on the shine from the WC and Olympics to finance the internationals in each country. But the explosive growth of these two major events may be enough to sustain the sport.

The finances haven't been in place until now because the WSL is a relatively new competition.

Barclays are sponsoring it from next season: Women's Super League: Barclays agree multi-million sponsorship deal

I'm having a coffee in a lovely little square in Nice and it's an absolutely beautiful day. Laugh if you want man, but this is f***ing class. And I get to see Scotland at a world cup, which I'm really looking forward to.
You could do that anytime. They’ll get beat as well so not all it’s cracked up to be.
