T20 Blast 2026

It was played on the last day of the PL season when Spurs, Fulham, Palace, West Ham and Arsenal all played in London?
Aye some great mystery that ain't it

More shame the ECB putting any games on at the same time as the PL.

I was oblivious to Durham result until the next day as too swept up in the joy of Sunderland. Sure Durham would have had a big crowd if not for that.

The T20 is dying isn't it. Surrey v Middlesex once a 27000 sell out now 6000 last week.

We all know why tho.
The ECB want to kill the Blast and force the Hundred on everyone.

So they scheduled the games clashing with the biggest footballing day of the season

People get bored with "Fast Food Cricket "

First class cricket always was and always will be the best form of cricket by far.
I don’t think it’s true that people got bored. The problem is that the clubs have mainly done very little to engage audiences other than pack in more food vans. The Riverside needs a total overhaul and I think a dedicated area for kids would be much welcome since most T20s consist of kids running up and down the stands for the full duration whilst the parents drink and talk amongst themselves

I don't believe that's true as there are still more people attending 20/20 matches than first class games even though the latter is the purest form of cricket

Isn’t there like 2 areas at Riverside for t20 games aimed at kids? One behind the members area and one near the nets?

Ive seen a post on Facebook by the club asking members and season tickets holders to login and select a seat for Fridays game. Would I be correct to assume this does not need to be done, I could just turn up Friday with my season ticket and pick an empty seat on the evening?

I don’t follow the club on social media so haven’t seen that or the X post that Hetty has just put up. Presumably I’ll get an e mail before Friday with instructions but who knows 🤷‍♂️

You were supposed to reserve a seat in Jan/Feb, but i think many ignored it and just sit were they wanted

Yes, I remember that now. Had a quick look at the seating plan and as expected there are loads of available seats especially in the LNER upper

I’ll just rock up on the night unless I get an email saying you have to reserve a seat

Watching the match on Sky at present - Leicestershire v Derbyshire.

Leicestershire getting another pasting.

I know I’m replying to myself but just reporting that I’ve just received an email about the match which includes the following

Please remember you must select your seat in advance before arriving at the ground. Your membership or season ticket card alone will not be accepted for entry without a valid seat selection ticket for the fixture

I’ll pick a random seat in a low populated area and then sit anywhere

MEMBERS/SPECTATOR SEAT SELECTION

2026 Durham Cricket Members and Season Ticket Holders who intend to attend the T20 Blast fixtures this Friday are required to select a seat ahead of the games.

Due to high demand for this Rivals Week fixture, all Members and Season Ticket Holders must have a match ticket issued before entering the ground. Membership cards will not be scanned at the gates for this fixture.

Pitch 10

Shafiqullah Ghafari is in contention for his first white ball appearance, while Luke Robinson drops out of the fold in order to manage his workload.

Yorkshire looked like they were going to lose to Derbyshire until a late push saw them through. I think Durham should feel confident going into the game.
