T20 Blast 2026

Fixtures for the new season due to be released this month.

Teams playing 12 games this season instead of 14 in the groups which seems a bit pointless but here we are.

Durham reached the QF last season before choking. Hopefully they can get to finals day this season.

I didnt title the thread as Vitality Blast as I'm not sure if they are still the sponsors for next season.

Ive found the link i was looking for which explains the revamp.

"They will additionally play one home game against a county from outside their group and one away game against a side from another group."

This is the part i can't get my head around. How are they deciding who plays who? Is it a random draw? Seem a bit odd.

Waiting for all fixtures to come out to decide what membership I'll be taking out. Shifts at work changing from Jan so will need to figure out what'll work best. At least the cricket fixtures don't get moved for TV

Bowlers potentially bowling eight fewer overs and fielding for about three hours less. Wonder if they are having their wages reduced pro rata. I'm sure that will help relieve their mental and physical unwellness.

Now that the counties have an extra £20m to play with, they should offer the players more money to play more games. I bet they'd take it as well.

Can’t leave well enough alone. It’s like they’re trying to make what used to be “the most popular format” unwatchable
Constant tinkering with every format by 'those who know best' at ECB. Surely if they have to alter the formats all the time, then surely that means they have made a series of incorrect decisions and are unfit for purpose. In the event of an Ashes disaster, watch the outcry for a 'red ball reset'.
