Yeah first class long format game certainly involves more thought and tactics but feel and I always felt.Yes it's true, a lot of red ball games can be very dull.
What i have always disliked about T20 is that batsmen dont have time to craft an innings. Sometimes a player can get a big score (Chris Gayle 175 for example) but most of the time a batsman usually has no more than a couple of balls to play himself in and then try and find the boundaries as often as possible.
T20 cricket is a high risk game, whereas first class cricket is a more thoughtful challenge.
That dull games in that format often get a free reign from criticism because the majority of people prefer that format.
Like I say I always felt there is too much acceptance of teams in the longer format not doing enough to try and win games
And thought that even before the explosion of the short format game
