I was asked by a large number of people here to do it; that was the only reason I wrote it. I had to write a lot because there was a lot to write about. As for a bit sad, it was my job; writing stuff like this helps keep my hand on as much as anything else.

Just ignore him mate.

Was a good read thanks for taking time to do it.

Wum or Bisto fancy getting outraged by a peak at the skunks accounts :rolleyes::lol::evil:
So you made a post backing Moyes in January when the sensible thing to do was sack him. I wouldn't be congratulating yourself on that one. You thought it was a good idea to diss a good poster whom even two Mags on here have said was unbiased, yet you took offence. You jumped into the clarts two footed and got buried … Well done :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Never said i was right. It was the other poster who offered that daft bet

He hasn't posted since he has been proven to lose the bet...

Here’s my take on it.

They will earn over 100 million pounds from tv rights next season.

We won’t earn anything near that.

Don’t understand why ANOTHER thread on this topic has been started.

Absolutely f***ing laughable.

If the post doesn't interest you or you don't understand it then f***ing move on to a different one.

I'm not particularly interested in their finances but it's interesting enough to see that Benitez (and the fans) may not be able to get the warchest they want this season due it actually being down to the club's finances and not Fat Mike being stubborn or tight.

Just ignore the sad mag in disguise Grumps;)

Ok.

Post #77 ( So here it is .... ) you offered to bet me a pound to a penny (100/1) if one of my threads ( So here it is .... ) has more views, replies, or likes to this one ( So here it is .... )

Tbh I thought it was a silly bet but since you've offered the terms and conditions I will accept your offer...Lets go off replies...

This thread Who's still backing Moyes? has more replies than the one I'm currently posting on.

I'm only willing to bet £1 but that is £100 owed for you unfortunately.

As I am a charitable person I would rather you pay the money owed to charity than to myself.

Charity I have chosen is CancerResearchUK -

Please post proof of £100 donation

Thanks
 this threads only been up a couple hours like. Already got more than twice as many likes, will see how it goes as far as replies.

Pound to a penny is a turn of phrase rather than me offering you some odds like, though as I'm a nice bloke I will make a donation if this thread doesn't get as large as the one you linked to.

To be fair, I didn't take particular offence. I've learned that my posts aren't to everyone's tastes, and I respect that. However, so long as people seem to want them, I'll continue to do it.
Nobody can please all of the people all of the time Grumps, especially on here. Keep it coming, loads of us find your analysis and insight interesting and we are very grateful.

It isn't. You set the terms and conditions for the bet. And lost.

It was your idea, poor by you not honoring your own bet.

I could see us spending 50m max and that's only if we know we are getting in 35m or so in sales as well.

Mitrovic, darlow, mbemba, colback, Joselu, and merino are the players I expect to leave and that should bring in around 35-40m whilst slicing 200k a week off the wage bill.

However we might only see that come in over 2/3 years whilst we insist on paying for transfers up front.

Can see us been in that middle pack again next season which would be fine by me for now

If you get shot of those players and it gives you around 50 million to play with, would it not be a better idea for Benitez to clear the air with Mitrovic and keep him?

A new striker (a good one) is going to take up a lot of that budget and you are going to need more than one and then other areas will need strengthening as well.

Do you think Benitez would stay if offered the amount you're suggesting?

Ive already said I'll donate if this gets less replies once it's ran it's course. If you can stop derailing the thread though I'm sure everyone else will appreciate it.

You're the one who derailed the thread by proposing a bet. You made the original rules now you're making them up as you go along to avoid giving money to charity

Ive not changed the rules in the slightest. Your thread was up for 4 days before it got it's last reply. This was started less than 3 hours ago.

"Reads of the thread, replies, likes. Take your pick" you never put a timescale on it when you set the terms of the bet.

Sad you're avoiding giving money to charity after losing a bet you wanted

If I didn't put a timescale on I'd never have to pay....

I never gave you the option of putting a timescale either.

Like I said, if it runs it's course and has less replies I'll pay no bother at all.
