So here it is ....

It's the decrease in commercial revenue during his ownership that is particularly annoying when he bought the club it was 28m it's now only 15m. It's somehow decreased while other clubs has massively increased

It was £25m in 2015/16. I wouldn't be surprised if it went up this season. I suspect that there were some payments whose value was linked to the division you were in.

Is that the keeper lad that you had in on loan? He looked canny in fairness - did well.

yes, for 6m he's a snip

This is absolutely spot on IMO - the FCW just sees Newcastle as an advertising vehicle for his sweat shop clothing outfit. Big stadium, big support and a big club in a big league that gets a lot of TV coverage, if he can keep their heads above water without having to inject masses of his own cash he's got to be laughing in the long run.

He likes a gamble and acts like a twat - everybody knows that. They finished tenth this season and that's not bad at all, the fans and the manager want investment to try and push on but they won't get it from Ashely, he's a "that'll do" kinda guy IMO, they could finish 17th every year from now until the end of time and he'd be pleased.

If the rumours about his asking price are true then it's obvious that he doesn't want to sell any time soon.

fuck me this is the best post on us ever on here ........perfect

Haha. Would bet you any amount of money I went to more safc matches last season than you?

Wasn't being totally serious but still think to type up loads about their finances a bit sad.

When did finances become so important for fans anyway? It a new breed of modern fan in my opinion.
Have you had your head in the sand for the last year or so.?

Just my opinion but not interesting in the slightest, I don't even understand it.

Football is about matches, not "balance sheets"

This is the SUNDERLAND message board.

It isn’t interesting. They are going to be shopping at harrods. I could not give a fuck about them, go and have a read of skunkers if you’re so f***ing interested.

They will be pissing themselves that we’ve started multiple threads on this topic, like the titanic has hit an iceberg and some fucker wants to talk about a ship up the road that’s got poor quality deck chairs.
 I’d be ashamed to post owt like that.

Where would he go to? Can't see any CL clubs taking him. The park the bus football he plays. He's just Moyes with a better history …:lol:
That’s always been my question. Mags, Liv, Everton, Chelsea, Utd are out of the equation. Leaves Arse, Spurs, WHU, Villa, Leeds, Sheffield Wed......and us! Otherwise he’s going to an English club significantly smaller than where he already is. Rangers:lol:, Celtic? Or back abroad mebbes?

The advertising is worth millions but he does not charge Sports Direct but Nufc has to pay Sports Direct for goods. It’s all financial manoeuvring to assist Sports Direct share price and an attempt to manage Newcastle supporters expectations. The fact that this money mad utterly ruthless billionaire still owns us and is making it almost impossible for others to buy says everything.

The published accounts tell the story Mike wants to paint. There’s other analysis to suggest that in terms of EBITDA the loss was around £24M. I’m not sure if that includes transfer money owing (don’t think it does) and there’s the black hole of advertising. He’s treating everyone like fools.
Naah. Just Nufc fans.

Nice work grumpy.

As a complete amateur I said they wouldn't be spending big cash next season a couple of weeks ago. Ashley has said he wasn't going to put in any cash and after a year of very heavy losses they simply can't afford to spend big.

Hopefully they'll pick up a couple of key injuries and struggle against relegation.
