Shelvey

Too good for the championship and a capable premier league player if he can get past his attitude problems, if not, he will never fulfill his potential, a blind man could see the lad has talent, just needs to knuckle down and use it.

Got a feeling he will be good for us this season though, has come back to pre-season training in cracking shape.

Difference being at premier league level youll be sat back deep and the defenders are better and will read his passes and thats if he even gets on the ball in the first place.

Last season hed get the ball from your centre halfs and have 5 minutes to think about what he was going to do. He wont get that time this season just like he didnt before and look very very ordinary.

This is my concern. Not just for him either.

It'll be much tougher in the Premier League against the big boys and I've no doubt we'll change our approach to reflect that. Looks like we're already doing that with the business we're completing. Bringing in real pace down the flanks, swapping big lumbering CBs like Hanley for a classier one like Lejeune.

Don't think any one is expecting us to do as well this season as we did last.

One ingredient missing, Shelvey hates it up there and playing for the mags, but he gets on with it just for the colossal wages being served up. His brother hasn't worked since he joined the mags and most likely never will.
Any proof of that?

What is it with the mags...

"You'd all love Benitez at Sunderland"
"You'd kill for Shelvey"
"None of your players would get in our team"

Blah blah blah
