Genuine question cos my knowledge of NATO has gone from very little to a little more in a few days, what does it matter if more countries join? Surely that helps with the aim of peace?
NATO aren't sending troops across boarders and firing missiles into houses. It's not like by joining NATO Ukraine would suddenly become a big threat is it?
The worrything thing is that when the fighting ends and if Russia gain control then the purges will begin and people will disappear.
Indeed, going via the Chernobyl zone cuts a lot of time off tank travel I'd imagine.Shortest Route to the capital via Belarus
He said they still need equipment though. They have the manpower but not enough kit.Ukrainan MP on Sky saying they've lost a lot of territory in the south but seems to be bashing them back in other places. But now they're trying to go through Chernobyl so theyre fighting there. 100 russian deaths, 60 Ukraine deaths. The military is well prepared he says for this.
Aye I know, but once they start getting lobbed about it's all over for us all.
exactly this, but no doubt he'll reply with some guff about 'Cuba' without realising the difference betweenWhy shouldn’t any of them be able to join? They’re independent nations and free to do what they like.
That's ballsy of them. Insanely so.Russian citizens already out on the streets of Novosibirsk protesting against the war.
Massive amounts of Armoured vehicles crossing the border from Belarus directly towards Chernobyl it seems. The full works. Looks like they're going to throw a lot at it here in order to get through to Kyiv.Indeed, going via the Chernobyl zone cuts a lot of time off tank travel I'd imagine.
Think there is some rule that says a country activity fighting a conflict can't join. What happens if NATO says Ukraine can join today ?
Other news outlets don’t have the same standards of verifying third party footage.BBC coverage has been a 'shit' today on this. Had on, mostly just in the background, for most of the day. Lots of interviews etc but unless I've missed it very little footage of what is happening on the ground has been shown. Via Twitter I have seen plenty - both uploaded from the public but also from other news outlets around the world.
On innocent children.I'm not blaming Ukraine.
But sometimes you need to consider the possibility of enraging your powerful and mildly psychotic neighbour.
Vlad has soldiers to use and weapons to test
I do hope so.. the propaganda machine in Russia twists minds worse than the UK tabloidsRussian citizens already out on the streets of Novosibirsk protesting against the war.
If they'd taken a different path they wouldn't have part of the Russian military using their home forces for target practice.“Accept it’s place”.
So basically you are saying Ukraine should have given in to a threatening bully rather than following its own desired course of action.
Very strange.
Yep, echoed what the Ukrainian Ambassador for the UK said. How the fuck does someone enter and give it to them howeverHe said they still need equipment though. They have the manpower but not enough kit.
They won’t and Ukraine can’t while in conflict with another country. What happens if NATO says Ukraine can join today ?
And quickly rounded up. Putin's outlawed protests, but how long can he contain it?Russian citizens already out on the streets of Novosibirsk protesting against the war.
