Safer than the rest of Ukraine.Any ideas why they're going after Chernobyl?
I'm not sure there'd be war. This would still be happening if Ukraine wasn’t trying to join NATO.
The very reason that has never been tested, is the reason it has never happened, like the nuclear deterrent. But it is still only a threat of a response. Huge difference between a threat and action. You do know what the US response is to a sinking of a carrier? You got 4 minutes to work it out.
The elected Pro-Russian government was overthrown when they refused to turn their back on Russia in favour of the EU. The coup was supported by many in the West, but lots of Ukraine were against it, particularly the Russian speaking areas with strong ties to Russia. Russia moved in to support some of these areas - Crimea etc.
Russia are ultimately responsible for war, but what the hell were the EU (and NATO) thinking?! These organisations were meant to be about peace, not endless expansion.
Blaming brexit on putin being a radgey dictator and invading countries
Blaming Ukraine for being invaded by Russia is a new low even by the standards of this place.I'm not sure there'd be war.
If Ukraine had accepted its place within the Russian sphere of influence its unlikely that people would be cowering in basements all over Ukraine.
It's like they weren't watching what happened to Georgia
Easier to find in the dark as wellSafer than the rest of Ukraine.
The outcome is the same. Putin expanding his own personal influence over Europe in the name of the Russian people.I'm not sure there'd be war.

That poor f***ing bairn man. Actually not ashamed to say I’m crying at that.
The UN won't provide visibility of the broader picture - merely a relatively narrow view.I'd rather listen to the Un than some media outlet harking back to treaties and friendships of yesteryear as justification for an illegal invasion
dear
I'll set 'em up and you knock 'em out the parkEasier to find in the dark as well
That isn't strictly true.Mate, naval air defence systems have always been playing catch up with new missiles, since the days of Sea Cat and Sea Wolf and Goalkeeper tried to defend against Exocet, and they have never caught up.
Aye, if they'd just accepted Russia as their overlords and done as they were told there would be no need for war.I'm not sure there'd be war.

FT reporting that the UK is pushing to cut the Russians out of the Swift banking system. Russia expected to throttle back gas and oil supplies in response.
Must be so scary. Like scary beyond what we can really comprehend. That poor f***ing bairn man. Actually not ashamed to say I’m crying at that.
Well its either true or not. In your opinion which is it and why? That isn't strictly true.
He's under domestic political pressure and is looking for a quick fix. Russian economy has been crippled badly recently partly to do with covid and no signs of recovery unlike here for instance.
His demeanour and public behaviour changing in the last few weeks/months has been startling like compared to his behaviour mainly over the majority of the last 2 decades. Part of me thinks he's becoming mentally unwell, possibly early dementia or something. Looks ****ing unhinged.
This would still be happening if Ukraine wasn’t trying to join NATO.
but they don't want to be part of it that's the point. As a democratic nation they have the right not to have the closest country keep taking bits off themI'm not sure there'd be war.

“Accept it’s place”.I'm not sure there'd be war.
