I am running with a groin strain........only seems to affect me on the 1st 1-2 mile then seems ok...............really should rest it but hey hoI've got a groin strain now. I did a fast 5k last week (21.30) and I'm wondering if it's because I've deviated from my usual run regime, combined with my age (48) if it's had an effect on me?
Have two weeks rest , won’t impact fitness, and foam rollerI've got a groin strain now. I did a fast 5k last week (21.30) and I'm wondering if it's because I've deviated from my usual run regime, combined with my age (48) if it's had an effect on me?
The only thing is, that the groin is hard to foam roll and it's impossible to strap upHave two weeks rest , won’t impact fitness, and foam roller
Foam roll hammys , it band , hips etc stillThe only thing is, that the groin is hard to foam roll and it's impossible to strap up
Massage the adductors and foam roll where possible, try not to stretch them too much until healed. Had dodgy groin for 3 year now, just managing it.The only thing is, that the groin is hard to foam roll and it's impossible to strap up
What an abysmal route you pickedGot 4 days in the lakes starting Thursday 16th , looking forward to that. Will be running 17th & 19th, hiking and running parts of Hellvelyn on the 18th
Haven’t felt great last few days but managed a half marathon at 2000ft climb at Penshaw this morning.
Looking forward to feeling a bit better soon
I did 9 mile inc Newbottle bank yesterday and did 8 mile inc Penshaw on Thursday. Gotta get the hills in to get to fitness I suppose. What an abysmal route you picked

I thought it was on purpose trying to draw a cock and balls. What an abysmal route you picked
Get yourself lost and explore. Look at my strava from last weekend and Wednesday.I don't know any better round that way
It is obviously a small (1.4m) loop but in terms of trail running it has everything - packed trail up & down, soft muddy trails, running & stair climbs, steep descent and flat grass trail. I will explore a bit more but I didn't mind it at all tbh - i love running through the forest.I thought it was on purpose trying to draw a cock and balls.
