Some of the reactions on here have been way more embarrassing than the performance yesterday.
When you consider how rarely half-decent managers turn up at Sunderland, and even rarer one who has two successful seasons in a row, I'm incredulous so many want to roll the dice & get lucky twice in a row (and we did get lucky with RLB - the board wanted to appoint Will Still initially, and before that they appointed Beale).
In my mind it's very much a characteristic of the modern social media fan addicted to dopamine hits - transfer windows, endless sackings & hirings in the search for quick fixes to any lean spell. But it's worth thinking about the most successful manager of my lifetime, Reid, got relegated on his first go & had a diabolical start to the following season that had many fans calling for his head even then (the football we played in his first couple of seasons was efficient, but hardly scintilating stuff). Instead he was given time, and stumbled upon a system that gave us the best & most successful football we've seen at the club in half a century. If Reid could do it, I don't see any reason why Le Bris can't.
