That is a very engrossing film.Snowpiercer.
I'm on the lookout for that now. Watched American Graffiti last night. Bit average for me with annoying end credit sheet - I mean why bother with depressing little summaries about the rest of their lives!?You should also give More American Graffiti (1979) a go... virtually same cast, but while original was about before going off to college the sequel was about them finding their paths in life (so Vietnam War, etc) - the critics slammed it at the time but I actually preferred More American Graffiti and only ever saw it once in the cinema (as far as I am aware its never been on tv or even on video tape back in the day) - definitely a lesser known film people should watch though
I probably watch this every year but guessing no one under 40 will know about it.Some Like It Hot
Used to be a guilty pleasure of mine. Haven't seen it in years.Couple of good Christian Slater films.
Untamed Heart
Very Bad Things

And even then why ignore the lasses' stories? Wtf?
Still, I'm curious to see the follow up. Enjoyed some of the female performances really.
Yes. There was plenty good stuff in the first film - soundtrack included! Chuck Berry and Booker T (Green Onions?) really jumped out to me.in that case (female characters) you shouldn't be disappointed. Its not a 5 star film but better than critics made out, and George Lucas still produced it even if he didn't direct. The soundtrack is also very good.

I'll chuck some film noir in:
The Big Heat
Out of the Past
In a Lonely Place
-The last two with a favourite of mine, Gloria Grahame - the subject of Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool (2017) an excellent film about her later years.
You could even argue that Wambaugh indirectly influenced all the big cop shows since Hill street Blues?
The Station Agent - Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage) is left an abandoned railway station by a friend. He moves there looking for solitude but starts to play a major role in the lives of his neighbours.
Farewell my concubine (1993)
In 1924, young Cheng Dieyi (Leslie Cheung) begins training at the Beijing Opera House at the same time as Duan Xiaolou (Fengyi Zhang). Cheng specializes in playing female parts, often against Duan's commanding male leads. While pretending to be in love with Duan onstage, Cheng begins to develop actual romantic feelings for his co-star, which are not reciprocated. Over the next 50 years, the two men maintain a complicated friendship as China undergoes turbulent changes.
Beautiful film that covers some really interesting Chinese history
"I couldn't fuck a gorilla"The Man with 2 Brains.
