You could say the same for anybody in the service industry, but just doing it isn’t enough....do it well. Nobody sets out to do a bad job so it’s obviously down to the training and motivation they receive from the management. They get paid the same as staff in Costa, Starbucks, most bars and restaurants you go to, but they consistently underperform when it comes to the basics of customer service and product. Problem is, there’s enough of the public who will put up with the failings just to get their burger or breakfast muffin. It’s become a bit of a jokey stereotype now, and until it actively hits their bottom line McDonalds won’t do anything to rectify it.Fair enough some of the kids might be not as switched on but fair play to them for working (some of them full time) there and being self sustainable.
For the ones who came from broken families and/or dropped out of the education system at 14/15/16 with a load of childhood troubles and who have decided to give themselves some routine and security by working at the likes of Mcdonalds/KFC etc, fair play to them for trying to better themselves instead of taking the easy option of the dole.
Fair play to them for having to serve hoards of knackers and knuckledraggers anarl.
Do you want fries with that....?
