Proof that McDonalds staff are thick as mince...

Fair enough some of the kids might be not as switched on but fair play to them for working (some of them full time) there and being self sustainable.

For the ones who came from broken families and/or dropped out of the education system at 14/15/16 with a load of childhood troubles and who have decided to give themselves some routine and security by working at the likes of Mcdonalds/KFC etc, fair play to them for trying to better themselves instead of taking the easy option of the dole.

Fair play to them for having to serve hoards of knackers and knuckledraggers anarl.
You could say the same for anybody in the service industry, but just doing it isn’t enough....do it well. Nobody sets out to do a bad job so it’s obviously down to the training and motivation they receive from the management. They get paid the same as staff in Costa, Starbucks, most bars and restaurants you go to, but they consistently underperform when it comes to the basics of customer service and product. Problem is, there’s enough of the public who will put up with the failings just to get their burger or breakfast muffin. It’s become a bit of a jokey stereotype now, and until it actively hits their bottom line McDonalds won’t do anything to rectify it.

Do you want fries with that....?

And out of them mcdonalds gets the worst type of clientele who talk to them and treat them like shit thinking they are above them so ne wonder they find it hard to find a bit motivation.

I think McDonald’s staff are pretty good, often very polite and helpful. Counter staff and cleaners.

Like I said earlier, they process a vast amount of orders compared to any other restaurant, in terms of % cock ups vs orders i wouldn’t be surprised if they are relatively accurate. “Proper” restaurants make mistakes pretty often and as a % of orders I wouldn’t be surprised if they are worse. No airs and graces either unlike some of the tossers who work in coffee shops and restaurants.

Couldn't of worded it better meself. Some of the targets that people above us in coocoo land have set makes it even harder anarl. Having to have a certain amount of cars around drive thru all under a certain amount of time etc it's just making the inevitable happen where even more mistakes happen. It's just daft but it has to be enforced.

Harry you are a cracking lad and good things will come to those who wait, I will personally see to it.

I fully agree. I also think the company provide some decent scran however, I wish they would realise that eggs can have soft yolks (like the ones in their advertising promos).

Very true. I think their processed food model is a tad inflexible with yolks cooked to order however. The breakfasts have crept up in price the last few years like. I’d say you could have a full English at a greasy spoon for similar now. I don’t think you can look past spoons at 3.50 for a standard fry up which is enough for me.

If you really want to confuse them ask for a cheese burger with nee cheese.

An Asian friend of mine once asked for a hot dog with no meat at a hot dog van.

So the hot dog seller replued " you want an onion roll then? "

Yes please :)

Had to be there to fully appreciate it but definitely funny at the time!

I'll only ever use the McD drive through. The coffee isn't bad and I'm a sucker for an occasional Big Mac. I know its rubbish food but once in a while I enjoy it.

Tbf mate, the coffee is just as good as what you get at Costa and Starbucks. Snobs though, prefer to pay more

A lad I know must spend £10 a day on coffee from Costa. We have given him the McDonalds stuff without telling him and he couldn’t tell the difference

Once asked for the sweet chilli chicken wrap with no sweet chilli sauce in, it seemed to brighten up her day.

Plain double cheeseburgers are the boy.

The trouble with the touch screens is they only accept card so any old fogie who only carries cash needs to go to the counter and verbally convey their order leading to shit like the OP messing up his words and that

You can still use the touch screens, do your thing, print off your receipt and pay at the counter.
