Still fine mate ?
Comes and goes. So frustrating. Just been for another run there and its fine. Think I'm reliant on the heel pads now.

Next test will be to run in my football boots on the grass

Got a telephone appointment March 11 with NHS podiatrist
Desperate to get it scanned to see if there's damage to the heel bone or not

Baby steps. Keep running and increasing speed/distance very cautiously. Any pain drop back to what was comfortable and try again in a few weeks time.
Keep doing any stretches etc that you have been doing.
It will come and go for sometime but it’s important to keep using it but even more so to not over stress it quickly and end up back at square one.

My PF has been fine for the past few months (I think working from home helps) but has flared up again in the past few days which is annoying as I was enjoying my morning walks.

Tried changing direction whilst running last night and felt ok.

Seems to be a dull ache now instead of a sharp pain

So annoying

6 month for me now mate and not really much change . Have had bad Achilles injury in past but this is far worse as can’t even enjoy going for a walk , mentally it’s pretty tough going . Will stick at it and thanks advice
How you getting on mate?

I'm going to try some sprints in my football boots tomorrow. Still wearing the pads in my trainers

Feels OK to walk on. Still get pain if all my weight is on it

Can go running with the heel pads pain free at least

Not much change for me mate , doing some calf and plantar loading exercises every other day and daily stretches , been 6.5 month now , will persist with this for another 4 week if no progress will start get bike out and accept no more running . Not ideal when you can’t even enjoy a walk , plays with your head big time .
goood luck your end and keep me posted

Sounds like you've got it bad mate.
I had a telephone appointment last week and they want to see the green for themselves in the clinic so waiting on that

So frustrating

Glucosamine with chondroitin and plenty organic turmeric. Use it in most dishes and as a nightcap with almond/oat/soya milk 20/30ml and a touch black pepper heated

Yours any better yet ?
Played 11aside on Wednesday and played 75mins pain free with insoles.

Since then its been pain free! Haven't a clue how that works. Maybe just needed to work some extra muscle groups? Will keep wearing insoles and doing exercises.

Calf raises
Lunges
Rolling iced bottom on the heel/arch of the foot
Light jogging
Cycling

Those insoles have been a lifesaver. I still think my issue is heel related rather than PF mind.

I've got an appointment in May with an NHS specialist

about 18 months into this now. Tried physio, doctors, exercises, stretching, insoles, heel supports etc and nothing is making it any better. Doesn't help I'm on my feet for my job a lot. Supposed to be referred back to the physio for the cortizone injections, but I haven't heard from them in 6 weeks since the nurses referral.

Anyone had this for that long and come out the other end without any pain?

Im 8 month in mate , slight better lately but not much , doing lots of calf loading and bought some cushioned trainers , it’s worst injury ever this

Mines only just got to the point where i can no longer feel pain at least 50% of the week - sometimes even a full week :)
Its took over 2 years.

What i would say is when you get to the point you are at now you should start talking to your physio about re-introducing running (very lightly and increasing gradually)

I had to totally stop running in October last year as I couldn't even make it to the end of the street without pulling up in pain! Hope you can get back on with your running @Fletch Wouldn't care I got it training for the 2019 GNR. I should have eased off but didn't understand what it was so tried to run it off. Possibly not one of my better decisions in life

There’s a video on Facebook (I’m not on but missus is) on this Wednesday by Platinum Physio (coxhoe) all
About plantar fash , might be worth a watch if can

@SAFCTEES yours gone now you reckon ?
Sadly not.
Its manageable with gel insoles, I can play football etc with zero pain

When walking without them if feels like I'm stepping on legs.

Going through the NHS process. Gave me stretches to do (waste of time) and a pair of insoles. If no better in a month they'll send me for a scan or injections.

What caused it for me was being young and daft, having worn down, useless work shoes and being on my feet all day. Got new, better shoes but it never went away. Got NHS insoles, they did nothing. I saw no benefit from stretches either.

Then got a job where I sit on my backside, I purposely did no exercise and about 3 or 4 months I noticed it went. Now I am lucky enough to be able to go running and long walks without pain. So for me, only a prolonged period on my feet sorted it. I dred to think if I was still in my old job I'd have it now!

I know someone who used CBD oil and it really helped with it. Don't know whether it just came back once they stopped the CBD though.
