What’s he had you do ?
I was getting calf massage once a fortnight at the injury clinic and also doing calf stretches. I have a spike ball at home which I rub over my foot which works well, I've got the roller stick which I got off eBay for about £4 and I do a calf stretch by pushing both hands against a wall, bending one knee and stretching the affected leg behind which has been by far the best option so they've basically just settled me with those options. Obviously now during lockdown they (the university) aren't doing the clinic so I'm self physio at the moment and I'm ok with that. Walking isn't hurting at the moment which is good. Also frozen water bottle rolled over foot is useful.

I’ve been told to try hoka IF I ever get to run again but at moment I’ve no chance .

doing eccentric calf drops and isometric calf holds , every other day . Calf stretches couple times a day and roll foot on a ball couple times day.
hardly walking the dog now , stopped cycling even, swim baths shut and will be for while.
slowly putting the weight on. Lockdown is shit but believe me when you can hardly walk and go outside it’s awful

What’s he had you do ?

Did it come back mate ?
Pain has gone. However I haven't done any exercise in about a month. Can cycle pain free.
Tried a bit of running yesterday and my heel starting to hurt on impact with the ground.
Went to see a foot specialist and he think its more of a heel strain recommended insoles? Debating going to physio.

So frustrating

To touch it feels swollen and as of there's loose tissue on the heel.

Tempted to go to the doctors see what they think

Have you tried a long walk to see if flares up ?

I've been trying to do 2-3 miles a day but it's been fine.

Even when I was in the office I would struggle to do that much in a day and there were times when I could hardly stand up from my desk. Maybe it was my choice of footwear.

Sounds feasible mate , hopefully you sorted , just build it up slowly 👍

Got a doctors appointment on Monday.

Still painful when full weight is on my heel. But now only on the outside og the heel.

Want piece of mind to what it is. Starting to get to me mentally now. The cushioned soles are OK to walk in, but don't want to become dependant on them.

Went to a physio down here the other week. Charged me £45, said it was a heel spur after feeling around, gave me three stretches to do. Told me to book in more sessions if it doesn't get better in 2 weeks. Joke
