My main memory of the place, was the horrible smell that followed you around. Marmaris didn't smell like it, but again, a horrible place.

Gran Canaria. Some hellhole timeshare place called Anfi. In-between puerto-rico, which is a massive shithold, and the place that has the Yumbo Centre. I can't forget the things I saw there.

Went in the early nineties. Was full of Essex 'hard men' and their slappers. Only 'holiday resort' where I've seen blood running in the gutters and down steps.

Went to Mostar last week, the bridge and the old town was canny but small, as soon as you get out of that it's a massive poverty shithole.

Sri Lanka but was only in the capital and Negombo.

Dubai, only went to visit some friends who lived out there and wouldn't go back. All it has is Shopping Malls, shit beaches, overpriced American chain restaurants and an undercurrent of modern slavery of the South Asian grafters

Agree mate, I loved the place and would go back. Beautiful country, canny people and loads of US military hardware still hanging around so you spend the whole time playing 'fortunate son' in your mind. Loved Cambodia as well
