Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

It’s people like Robert’s who need the standing ovations (not the hendersons of this world - who should get the polite clap beforehand). And all the central characters from the play off team

Actually achieved something with us and played a pivotal role in our return.

The lads that are still here need that respect too even if they are second string / out of favour. Huge influence on our club the lot of them.

Absolutely this. Good luck Patrick 👍

All the best to you Mr Roberts. Played a huge part in us rising from the torturous depths of League f***ing One and I shall always be grateful for that. As an aside, I always like any player making a move to get more game time, especially when they drop down a division to do so.

If he’s played his last game for us, then we all need to say a massive thank you to Patrick Roberts. He was instrumental in our rise to the PL, his goal against Sheff Wed in the play offs was possibly the most important goal in our recent history. Without it, the two play off wins may never had happened and we could well still be languishing in league one with all hope now gone. That’s without mentioning his contribution to the Championship play off final in May. He helped to change the game when he come on and his assist to Mayenda was top-drawer.

An absolute wizard with the ball at his feet and his work rate could never be questioned. Probably a lack of pace/strength and final ball/finishing has prevented him becoming a PL player for us, which is a shame.

Good luck in the future.

Everyone connected with the club including us mere fans owe him a huge thank you.

Perfectly put 👏

Don't think I've felt like this about a player leaving for a long time and doesn't look like I'm the only one either. Just came across like a thoroughly decent bloke and always gave his all. The constant threads on here over the past 18 months or so digging him out only made me want him to succeed more. Will keep an eye on how he does at birmingham

Well said. His pass to Mayenda at Wembley was absolutely brilliant.

Good luck Paddy

Not a fan of brum but he could do very well in that team. Talent such as kyogo, Doyle, stansfield he could work very well with. Especially in that league

Best of luck to wee Paddy, hope he has some blinders at Brum, always be remembered fondly up here, played a big part in our story. Never gonna hold his own in our shower room now (unless we recall him during the AFCON). Go forth and dribble the Championship to bits!
