Patrick Roberts to Birmingham compendium

I still think we’re mental to let him go without bringing a winger in like.

1 hour to go.
We're after Bertrand Traore which would likely be his replacement in the squad (and arguably upgrade, presumably in the club's eyes - I cannot comment). Doubt Paddy's transfer will actually happen if we don't get that over the line.

If he does go I will miss him but it might be best for all concerned.

Talbi and Adingra can play on both wings. Mundle, Rigg, Isidor, ELF can all play there as well. Playing 4-3-3 as well, more like outside forwards rather than typical wingers and we've got all options for every occasion now.

I assume this is a loan with a view to permanent in the summer, what will we get for him? If it's buttons I'd rather have kept him but got to be fair to the lad as well if he's wanting to play.

Good luck and thanks Paddy.

How many times have Mundle, Isidor or ELF played right wing? It's complete nonsense that Rigg is a winger. He was poor there in the Championship, and against L1 Huddersfield. Laughable to suggest he could play there in the PL.

All the very best to him.
Credit to himself and the club throughout, worked his spuds off and one of the regulars who got us to the top flight.
Responsible for a few of my favourite moments in the past few years - Reading away when he had them on toast, partnership with Amad, that brilliant late goal against Watford and of course book-ended by two bits of play-off magic, the goal against Sheff Wed and that pass against Sheff Utd.
Go well Paddy.

One of my favourite players over the past few years and a key player in getting us to where we are now. Loved watching him play (even if the end product wasn't always there) especially when he linked up with Amad. Thanks Paddy and all the very best lad. A warm welcome awaits you on your return to SOL at some point in the future
