The bit in Trainspotting 2 where they steal all the cash from ATMs because everyone has the same PiN (1690) did make me think it would be just as easy in Sunderland.

I reckon most people’s ATM pins will be random. I just leave it as whatever pin the bank sends me. I can’t be arsed to changed it.

I think the bigger problem is the amount of people who use a universal password for all sites because they struggle to remember them otherwise. One site gets hacked, passwords sold on and the whole packs of cards collapses.
