Joker...... fabulous acting from Phoenix but the film is a bit "meh" and I'll probably never watch it again.
Have you seen *You Were Never Really Here"? Lots of Joaquin for your money in a much better film

Never seen it but I was just reading about it the other day - only got a 6.8 on IMDB (but will probably give it watch, I like him - he's intense but thorough in his acting skills).Have you seen *You Were Never Really Here"? Lots of Joaquin for your money in a much better film

Thank you for the additional recommendation - I'll be sure to try and check that out too. It’s well worth a watch. I liked the Master as well if you haven’t seen that.

very true he's good in inherent vice anarl,,he's a very good actor imo
I feel like I’ve seen Inherent Vice but don’t remember anything about it so maybe I haven’t. Phoenix and Paul Thomas Anderson pretty much the best actor and director around though imo.
Best acting performance I’ve seen- not best film though- far from it.Joker...... fabulous acting from Phoenix but the film is a bit "meh" and I'll probably never watch it again.
Rachel weisz probably has a lot to do with that. Entertaining enough overall but pretty shit really. Some bizarre views in this thread mind, some all time classics slated to fuck.It wasn’t hyped on release, but search this board for threads about greatest war films and it’s always mentioned, despite the fact it’s plop.

1917, well made but boring.
Dunkirk, well made but didn't get the sheer scale of it for me, looked more like a couple of coachloads of the beaches.
Apart from lock stock and snatch which are both good for a laugh, anything with Jason Statham in he can't act to save his life.
