They’ll likely go down anyway this season. If it does go through I can see them getting rid of Bruce and appointing some obscure foreigner who takes them down.

"Of course, arbitration - according to the Premier League's QC Adrian Lewis, at least - will centre around one issue: whether there is seperation between the PIF and Saudi state. Today's news does not, on the face of it, alter that. But things have shifted with today's news."

I agree mate. Personally I don't think it will go through. More than anything I think you have the 6 into 4 doesn't go but the big 5 and spurs are used to accepting them odds and have done for a good number of years. Make it 4 into 7 and it becomes a no no with villa Everton trying to catch up it stretches the odds even more that's what it boils down to. The murder of the journalist is unacceptable as I'd 900 plus people dying of slave labour on Quatari world cup stadiums where does it stop I mean I bet Chelsea's owner made his living from laying bricks on building site. The American owners will be squeaky clean and Chinese my god how I wish for the 1970 80s without the violence and no live matches bar the cup final and England v Scotland

Be very interesting watching matters unfold. As it stands PIF publicly walked away from the deal over one year ago sighting the length of time and the change in the global financial situation. Additionally the legal reason the PL board said matters could not proceed remains entirely unchanged. Let's say PIF might be back at the table and somehow the PL legal advice has changed, what then? By the time the legals with the PL are done the actual deal itself has then to recommence, the mags could well be relegated by then. If the legal path has been cleared there may be better options than buying a championship club. However more broadly just owing a PL club in England is the goal for PIF, the sports whitewash complete! The overall goal for the KSA, accepted as part of UK elite sport, reputation cleansed.

PIF is by definition also trying to generate future economic benefits and income streams, not sure that squares with owning a PL club. They'd need to invest more than they'd ever get in return, how much spend needed to break top 4, half a billion straight off the bat with no guarantee of success.

Clubs can’t just exponentially increase their wage bill like before, they’ll be restricted in what they can do, even if it’s intended to be the most ambitious takeover of all time, they’ve got a load of mediocre players on long term deals.
 
Looks like the mags have won the lottery the lucky feckers. Who knows how the Saudis will go about running the club but I doubt they've bought them just to make the numbers up in the premier League

They have a better chance in the future of winning trophies but what I will say is that I still think it's difficult no matter how much money you have to sign and persuade the very best players to move to the north east

Daily mail and telegraph saying they don't need to prove it now. That was only to seperate Blame for the piracy
 
So have the premier League been vindicated if this goes through. The Saudis have now admitted piracy issues and paid bein for it

The Saudis look like the ones who were corrupt and have admitted it and now the premier League look like they will pass it
