Can a club of Sunderland's stature, not do a Stoke and pinch a manager doing a good job at another club? for example someone like Graham Potter at Brighton. Why choose from a list of unemployed, chancers, improvers, inexperienced unknowns?
Haway man ffs.

Exactly. Potter would be great.
This club make me sick. It’s the same with KS buying players like Clarke on the cheap.
We should be after quality experienced players like casimero and jack grealish

I'm only showing the ambition that others are banging on about the club not having. Graham Potter I said, not Klopp, Guardiola or Conte.

Aye, maybe we go for tielemens in centre midfield too now that michut looks in doubt.

Advocated for Warnock when we were in L1. He'd have got us promoted. Not sure he could do that at Champ level. He's a play-off king though if he got us there. Wouldn't be a bad appointment on the face of it, no disaster would happen, but would be a couple years of not much plan going forward.

The more I think about it and the more names that get thrown around, the more I'm inclined to think Mowbray is the best option. I like the idea of Manning, but I'm not sure that this is the right time for a young, relatively inexperienced Head Coach who has never managed outside of League 1. Mowbray does tick pretty much all of the boxes.

Someone who is used to working with a DoF.
Someone with experience of developing young talent.
Someone who plays attacking football.
Someone who favours the sort of formation we're equipped to play.
Someone with a decent track record of success at this level.

He may not be a particularly inspiring or exciting appointment, but he does tick all the right boxes.

Paul Warne

You may as well take Farke off the list like. He's just joined a Bundesliga club that took a point off Bayern at the weekend.

Yeah, Farke would obviously be the outstanding candidate of that list but it seems very unlikely he would leave a team who have ambitions of being in the Champions League next year.

Are people forgetting Dyce's dire quality of football and the fact he hates using young players? Seems he's only on the list because he was in the Prem and he's now out of work. He would be a terrible fit for our current squad and ambitions.
And his total disregard for both cups. #### him.

He was being linked with Stoke before ASHN got the job
Why on earth would Potter leave Brighton for us? Is that a joke?
Some people man, if they had dynamite for brains, they wadnt have enuf to blow their caps off.

You know someone would complain that Casimero's legs have gone, and his goal scoring record is crap.
