Doing well at Luton seems to be down to the system. Jones left and Harford took ower and they improved. Jones flopped at Stoke. Not Jones for me.

Why people who wadnt be interested in our system are included amazes me. Dyche shouldn’t be mentioned as he’s skewing the figures.

Can't help but think the important factor there is Harford. He didn't go to Stoke with Jones.

This is why I would want Jones mate. Stoke didn't have that system but we presently do.

No Bielsa. That petered out quickly

But aye from the list Farke the obvious standout but never happening now he is at Gladbach. Manning, Mowbray, Barry, Poyet, or Rooney would do me. Manning probably no.1 choice from that line-up. I was up for Kisnorbo earlier in the year. The City group have a good thing going on. Interestingly Steve Bould has just been integrated into it. Not going to twist if it is Mowbray, he is actually a bit better than his current reputation indicates, his West Brom team was good and he did well at Blackburn. I back there club and their current direction. Alex Neil wasn’t my first choice last time but I was pretty neutral upon the announcement.

First choice would be Manning, think he’s the perfect fit for how we are setting the squad up.

Wouldn’t be upset if we appointed Mowbray either though.

Would love to have Farke be our head coach but think Manning would handle the pressure and step up if we got him in, we have the team in place apart from the odd signing for cover, the players showed against Norwich they will fight, if the young lad is capable then why not

Can a club of Sunderland's stature, not do a Stoke and pinch a manager doing a good job at another club? for example someone like Graham Potter at Brighton. Why choose from a list of unemployed, chancers, improvers, inexperienced unknowns?
