Top 10 in no order:

- Adrianne Lenker
- Bill Ryder-Jones
- Four Tet
- Nils Frahm
- Charlie XCX
- Max Richter
- Godspeed!
- MJ Lenderman
- Los Campesinos!
- Toe

My favourite because of personal obsession is LC! but I think Lenker’s album is probably the best objectively from my list.

I think The Cure could sneak in before the end of the year plus I have a few more to get through before December is over

Can I just throw Gurriers album into the mix for any fans of early Idols and Fontaines DC. Saw then live at a tiny venue a couple of weeks back and they were excellent. Supported by Lennon Gallaghers band ( surprisingly good too). Cure album is top notch, Porridge Radio also good (going to see them tomorrow).

I've spent most of the year listening to every CD/record I have (well over 1,000) so I don't think I could even make a top 10!

However, I've enjoyed these (no order):

Nick Cave
Alkaline Trio
Vampire Weekend
St Vincent
Jamie xx
Shellac
Jack White
Fontaines DC
Bright Eyes
The Cure

Just managed a 10. Got loads to catch up on and looking forward to Kim Deal, Father John and Kiwanuka on Friday too.

The Sofie Royer album is good. Also if you have ever wondered what Joy Division would sound like with added surf guitar then listen to Surfin Pleasures by The Routes.

The new Du Blonde record is really good which is a nice surprise. Best thing they've done since the debut. Late contender to sneak up the top of a few album of the year lists I reckon.

Father John Misty...meh. Think I'm done with him now.

Only came on here to say i am enjoying the Father John Misty album (having never heard any of his stuff before)
I Love You, Honeybear and God's Favourite Customer are really good records. Everything else he's done I can leave, especially the last one. Pure Comedy had its moments but was seriously lacking a quality filter.

Think the issue is me not him.

I've felt the same with him but give the new one a few listens, it grows on you.

He’s a funny one, even his weaker records have a few fantastic tracks.

Pure Comedy is at least 3x tracks too long and the ending really drags. Feel like we often say this!
