It's a cracker.I think it’s great. Certainly found his groove after the other albums didn’t quite hit the mark. Wristwatch potentially my favourite song this year.

I'm not a fan either and I have the same issue most years with these lists. It really annoys me how similar all the lists are as well when there is more albums getting released this year than ever. Everyone seems to be listening to the same stuff and will only listen to things that are critically acclaimed.Looked at a bunch of online music mags Albums Of The Year lists. No matter how much I try, i just cannot get my head around how every single one of them is creaming themselves over that MJ Lenderman album. It totally baffles me.
I don't think that's true at all.I'm not a fan either and I have the same issue most years with these lists. I agree. There’s loads out there, and loads of different viewsI don't think that's true at all.
The Quietus end of year list always throws up a few gems. And also about 40 records that you'll struggle to believe anyone on earth had heard or enjoyed before.I agree. There’s loads out there, and loads of different views
Here we go

Saw them support Nick Cave last month, their set was all new stuff and it sounded a lot better like. Those live songs they come up with post Isaac/covid were absolutely shite, I walked out of their Northumbria Uni gig with about 20 minutes to go.The Orchestra (For Now) have released a belting debut signal.
It’s a bit BCNR before they went shit
Saw them as well, and was underwhelmed personally. Loved the first 2 albumsSaw them support Nick Cave last month, their set was all new stuff and it sounded a lot better like. Don’t think they’ll reach the first 2 albums again like but there was definitely some improvement.
He played Glastonbury I think?Paul Heaton put on a superb show in Wolverhampton last night including all the old Housemartins and Beautiful South bangers.

Aye glad a managed to fit in one of those socially distanced shows just before they released Ants and he left. They were a canny force live, especially the songs from the second album.Saw them as well, and was underwhelmed personally. Loved the first 2 albums
