I thought that, but it clocks in at under 15 minutes. That's a lot of tracks for an e.p!
This is quite good actually. They're a real patchwork of influence though, they sort of sound like about 6 bands, from Kate Bush to HMLTD.Totally agree about the Last Dinner Party. They've been hyped up on the basis of absolutely nothing for ages now.
Got to put my hand up and admit the bairn has got me into them, so much I’ve got tickets to take her to the city hall to see them. The bit that appeals to me, it feels like I’m flicking through my parents vinyl collection from the 70s/80s…This is quite good actually. I think the album’s a cracker. There’s a lot of talk about their connections being an industry ‘plant’ etc, but who really cares when the music sounds good. What’s the crack with the last dinner party then? Obviously the hype machine is in overdrive, it seems bizarre they could get a Stones support slot before releasing an album. That good or good connections?
The albums decent enough.
I think My Life Story had a new album outThere are new albums this week from Brittany Howard, Chelsea Wolfe, Declan McKenna, Dhani Harrison, Ducks Ltd, Helado Negro, Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign, Madi Diaz, The Strumbellas, Zara Larsson, Pylon Reenactment Society, Saramaccan Sound, Tyler Ramsey, Pineapple Thief, Kali Malone, Loving, Itasca and The Chisel.
Not exactly a lp release but listened to Scarface's Tiny Desk concert last week (think it was released Jan) tremendous imo.
Dunno but I’ve read the singers da is absolutely loaded likeWhat’s the crack with the last dinner party then? Obviously the hype machine is in overdrive, it seems bizarre they could get a Stones support slot before releasing an album. That good or good connections?

That’s because they share members, including Chubby himself! The Chisel: shouty Brit-punk Very good. They remind me a little of Chubby & the Gang.

I feel the same about BH. I loved Alabama Shakes, too.Haven't been able to get into the Brittany Howard one. Wasn't enamoured with her last one either tbf.
The Last Dinner Party, however, has been brilliant. Really like that one.
