First 3 albums are decent TBF
I’ve just had a quick reminder look - it’s 3 of their first 4 albums that were decent, was never a big fan of X&Y. Never bothered with them since being completely disappointed by Mylo XlotoJust had a quick reminder look.
Warning Sign was likeable too.
Back on decent music, I’ve decided that the Swans record is mega
That’s some statementI think it's their best since they reformed in 2010.

I don’t think I know the earlier stuff, recommendations?
Right up there with
“Mam, Dad - for Christmas I would like Coldplay tickets”
That Toy covers album is great, are there any other albums by them worth a listen? This week's releases as far as I'm concerned:
Toy - possibly the best thing they've done. Interesting range of covers.
Bonnie "Prince" Billy - chuffing marvellous as usual.
Jeffrey Lewis - good. Needs repeated listens to see how it compares to his best.
Tindersticks - exceptinoally, exceptionally good (if you like Tindersticks).
Sessa - quite summery Brazlian acoustic pop. Apparently, if you translate the lyrics, they're filthy.
DJ Shadow - very long but, I think very good. Effectively two albums. One more instumental, one with a lot of guests.
Arthur Russell - kind of new but not. A compilation of his more indie-centric songs. Second one of these, possibly not as good as the first.

The Flaming Lips “singles” have been really goodBit of a slow down in new stuff this week. Albums from Anyway Gang, Jack Penate, Joe Pesci, Robbie WIlliams (a Christmas album), The Flaming Lips (a live recording of The Soft Bulletin) and Mappe Of.
Your dedication is admirable.Last ever BOB show in the UK tonight - I’ll be down the 100 Club feeling old.
Finally getting caught up with the last 2-3 months. Really like that Murder Capital - one of my faves of the year.

That’s a tiny list this week.
I was going to say that I’ve paid no attention to Jack Penate since 2009, but when I went to add the album to my library I discovered that it’s his first album since then!
They are only bloody playing in Newcastle in February n'arl. So aside from the marvellous Church of the Cosmic Skull who I posted about on Saturday, I've been listening to new and newish albums from:
