New Music Releases Thread

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas so there's a definite slow down of new releases. This week's come from Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Celine Dion, DJ Shadow, Juliana Hatfield, Lady Antebellum, Lil Peep (a posthumous release), Ryuichi Sakamoto & Alva Noto (a live album), Antoinette Konan, Sessa, Tindersticks and Jeffrey Lewis & Voltage.
Hatfield (Police covers) and Tindersticks for me, plus need to catch up on a few from last couple of weeks

New Pumarossa out tomorrow. Their debut was superb in places. The track Priestess was a belter.
what I’ve heard from the new one doesn’t hit those heights but I’ll check it out

That Karen O & Danger Mouse album released back in March just gets better and better. Sacred Paws second album has been played as much as anything else lately too. Great stuff.

This week's releases as far as I'm concerned:

Toy - possibly the best thing they've done. Interesting range of covers.
Bonnie "Prince" Billy - chuffing marvellous as usual.
Jeffrey Lewis - good. Needs repeated listens to see how it compares to his best.
Tindersticks - exceptinoally, exceptionally good (if you like Tindersticks).
Sessa - quite summery Brazlian acoustic pop. Apparently, if you translate the lyrics, they're filthy.
DJ Shadow - very long but, I think very good. Effectively two albums. One more instumental, one with a lot of guests.
Arthur Russell - kind of new but not. A compilation of his more indie-centric songs. Second one of these, possibly not as good as the first.
