A bit disappointed with the Steve Mason / Martin Duffy Alien Stadium EP.
It's alright but the lead single is far better than the rest.
The lead single is a bit crap tbf .

harry styles criminally over looked there mind...Uncut's editor's list of his favourite albums of the year
Alex Cameron. He was decent, but didn't blow me away. The vocals were excellent but it felt like everything else was too toned down, it lacked that pop punch that you get on the records.
Would have loved to see This Is The Kit. A lot of the others I wanted to see (Julie Byrne, Nadia Reid, Aldous Harding, Julia Jacklin) are playing End of the Road so will get a second chance there...
An amazing performance on Jools Holland. Very immersed and theatrical, dare i say Kate Bush'esque
She's a big talent! The move from her first album of slightly twee but contemporary sounding folk to the theatricality of the latest album has been quite something... New Zealand seems to be on something of a high musically with Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Nadia Reid, Connan Mockasin etc., not to mention Lorde...
Ta mate, will take a good look through all of them.
Again on Jools beginning to think King Krule is maturing nicely
And also thought this was a good set by Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile to promote their collaboration Sea Lice by the Seaside

I’ve been catching up on some of the stuff I’ve missed through the year - Offa Rex, Hurray for the Riff Raff (even though @Arkle has been pushing it for months), Nikki Lane and Fiddlers Green.
Started with Nikki Lane (picked it up from a top albums list Jason Isbell posted on his social media) and must say I’m impressed.
