No sign of the teenage fanclub album on Spotify and Apple Music app saying 30th April

Pitchfork saying March 5th Teenage Fanclub Announce New Album Endless Arcade, Share New Song
This place saying April 30th https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/teenage-fanclub/endless-arcade/ (with the magnificently named genre Jangle Pop!)

Whats going on? Can't really be a US/UK think if Pitchfork saying Martch 5th
I got an email a month or two back to say that my vinyl was getting pushed back from today to April 30 because of manufacturing delays (that's Merge at least in the US) - had presumed that wouldn't affect streaming services but maybe they want to release it all at the same time vs staggered
Is PeMa their UK label?

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Endless Arcade will now be released on the 30th of April via PeMa and Merge. Without going into too much detail, due to production delays in the vinyl manufacturing process we’ve been forced to push everything back a few weeks. We’re really disappointed that we can’t get the album out on 5th March as originally promised, sincere apologies that you will now have to wait that little bit longer before you can hear it.

Some here may be aware of neil cowley, i happened across him a decade ago when i shazamed a track playing in the bar of the cluny that turned out to be Dinosaur Die by the Neil Cowley Trio from the Album "Loud... Louder... Stop!" (think accessible funky piano drivern jazz). I just so happened to come across a new solo album by him that was released today, its piano driven ambient stuff in the same area as grandbrothers that just cropped up on this thread, could be the uk's own nils frahm (hints of olafu arnalds & max richter too).

Never heard this but love NCT. Seen them at Sage2 a couple of times. He’s not up his own arse like some jazz types and superb live. Incredible piano player too.

New Roddy Woomble single, Lo Soul, out today on the platforms. Album of same name (but with an exclamation after Lo) out digitally in May and physically in July
Incidentally the Idlewild book, In the Beginning There Were Answers, was out this week for their 25th anniversary. (and half of Roddy's album was recorded in Dundee @Mickdundee :D)

BOB have a limited cassette out today - available at the House of Teeth website - 60 copies. Don't all rush at once.

First single released from the Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars album and oh man it's good

Got that relaxed 70's vibe to it. Bootsy Collins is on the album as well, can't wait for it now.

That’s quite interesting. There is a rehearsal space/studio at the waterfront beside the train station but hadn’t realised it was used for “professional” recording.

He has family in Carnoustie and I think he’s signed to either Assai Records (record shop with a small label based in Dundee) or Riverman Records (which is the label Kyle Falconer is signed to and is owned by one of the subjects of the film “The Schemers” that was out late year about the group of lads that brought Iron Maiden to Dundee) for his solo stuff so it does kind of make sense.

He says Andrew Mitchell's home studio - that's all I've got for you

there some more Roddy Woomble stuff on fb he recorded at an tobar ( small arts centre ) in Tobermory in November. he lives on south part of island ( Mull ) , me mate often serves him in Tobermory co-op .

He’s the current Idlewild bassist, used to be in a Dundee band called The Hazy Janes
And thanks to some Googling I’ve also discovered that he is also the “real name” of singer-songwriter Andrew Wasylyk. You learn something new every day - I was aware of both people (one as the Idlewild bassist and one as a singer-songwriter) but it never actually registered that they are the same person!

Didn't bother mentioning earlier, as I figured everyone on this thread would already be all over them, but just a reminder nudge that the expanded reissues of the Dio-era Sabbath albums are up on the streams today, for those needing their daily fix of goblins, dragons, mystical old crones, and the like.
I’m a bit fed up of lockdown covers albums (Molly Tuttle’s is the only one I’ve really enjoyed) but I’ll give this a go now it’s free to stream.
So probably not the best time to mention that Worriers have a 5-track covers EP out today  - Rancid, Tom Petty, New Pornographers, Mission of Burma, and Bleachers. Might be one for @Marty Moose

Adult Mom had an album, Driver, out today, which I hadn't noticed. Out on Epitaph and on the streams. Very much looking forward to it (I'm 2 tracks in and liking) - saw her a little over a year ago with Laura Stevenson and she's done a split single with LS in the past where they covered each other. She's a very similar vibe if you like the indie female singer-songwriter vibe.
