Just listened to another. It's not too dissimilar from latter radiohead (with the blips going on) but with a female vocal.
That and your earlier Kate Bush comparison are reasonable comparisons...

My knowledge level of that sort of music doesn't exactly run that deep so can't say I know much about them but it was on my list of albums to listen to this week. Not worth a listen then?
By all means give it a go, you may love it, no right or wrong answer !!
In terms of electronic music, my albums of the year from that genre are AAA, George Fitzgerald and Jon Hopkins.
Hadn’t realised that the Neko Case record was a concept album about the career of Ryan Noble
It's a shame he never got his wish to be The Last Lion of West Bromwich Albion.

Listened to Lump all day. It's tremendous.
Brilliant day, got there a bit late to see PSB due to cheeky pints in Shoreditch and outside Mile End station but enjoyed Warpaint, accidentally stumbled on some folks having fun to Don Letts, Future Islands was emotional, War On Drugs I sat right at the back next to an empty bar and just took it in, very impressive. The National.... those boys can play, loved it. Cracking day, perfect weather, lovely people, brilliant organisation, got robbed left right and centre ( apart from the ticket ) loved every minute
So tonight I have been to the Hoping for Palestine show at Roundhouse

Is it streaming anywhere? I heard one track on that NPR playlist I posted a couple of pages back, and I’ll inevitably listen to all of it out of pure habit - love JC but he’s really not done anything of sense or commercial viability since the mid90s. Still keep hoping for the occasional diamond among the general mess!

One of the albums of the year that. Been playing it for weeks. "That's Tom, he's a really shitty dealer..."
It's arguably my album of the year...
I'll then digress into folk stuff to say that the Eliza Carthy/Norma Waterson album is brilliant! a tremendous mix of originals and some very interesting covers.
Continuing in that vein, I'm not sure I praised the Modern Studies album enough as it's bloody brilliant! Reminds me a bit of some of the male/female duets that Tindersticks used to specialise in, in part because the male vocalists sounds like, well, Stuart Staples but has anchors in folk, shoegazing and goth.

Amazing, saw them live last week and they were excellent. They had crowd eating out of their hands.
10th anniversary edition of Love, Ire, and Song by Frank Turner was out last Friday or is out this Friday or is out the week after - I've seen several different dates reported.
