The only slight disappointment for me is that it's only 7 tracks long and one of them is the end credits.
Just listened to another. It's not too dissimilar from latter radiohead (with the blips going on) but with a female vocal.
That and your earlier Kate Bush comparison are reasonable comparisons...
I never realised it was coming but the debut album ( 12 years in making ) from Ame was released on Friday.
The review on pitchfork slated it and I have to agree with them. Gutted as they’ve made some amazing tracks in their career.
My knowledge level of that sort of music doesn't exactly run that deep so can't say I know much about them but it was on my list of albums to listen to this week. Not worth a listen then?
Hadn’t realised that the Neko Case record was a concept album about the career of Ryan Noble
Brilliant day, got there a bit late to see PSB due to cheeky pints in Shoreditch and outside Mile End station but enjoyed Warpaint, accidentally stumbled on some folks having fun to Don Letts, Future Islands was emotional, War On Drugs I sat right at the back next to an empty bar and just took it in, very impressive. The National.... those boys can play, loved it. Cracking day, perfect weather, lovely people, brilliant organisation, got robbed left right and centre ( apart from the ticket ) loved every minute
Is it streaming anywhere? I heard one track on that NPR playlist I posted a couple of pages back, and I’ll inevitably listen to all of it out of pure habit - love JC but he’s really not done anything of sense or commercial viability since the mid90s. Still keep hoping for the occasional diamond among the general mess!Listened to the new Julian Cope album on the way to work. It's good. As with the previous two Skellingtons, it's quite lo-fi and demoish.

One of the albums of the year that. Been playing it for weeks. "That's Tom, he's a really shitty dealer..."Yeah I'm still hammering the Confidence Man album, the suns been out so I've had a few beers in the garden with it pretty much on repeat !
Also been listening to the new Album from Mr Fingers, its very very laid back house with a real jazz influence. Need to listen to Slug just never had time as of yet.
