Frightened Rabbit are one of my favourite bands, have put on some of the greatest gigs I’ve ever been to and are the backdrop to so many good (and tough) memories. I've shared a couple of pints with Scott and was ‘friends’ with him on Facebook. He was a thoroughly decent and likeable fella. Hope he's at peace now.
 
This is so sad. Listened to MOF yesterday at work - found it hard to concentrate...such powerful stuff.
He seemed on such good form when I saw them on the anniversary tour, a couple of months ago, really funny and enjoying himself, but some say that’s often a red flag right there (that people are more upbeat and relaxed when they’ve decided)...ugh!

Didn't even realise they'd released something new (Magic Numbers). That takes me back about 12 or 13 years... must have seen them 3 or 4 times back around the time of their first album. Headlined Truck festival, also headlined Homefires festival and I saw them on tour one or more times.

First two albums were great and they’re great live, especially acoustic. Been a bit hit and miss since.

Where do you get your list of new release out of interest?

It's a combo of Metacritic's upcoming album releases page and an Amazon wishlist I keep of albums I'm interested in listening to. The latter is largely derived from Uncut's album reviews so a lot of stuff doesn't get properly covered.

Edit: I missed the new Mark Kozelek album being released today...
