I thought the AF was better than I was expecting. Granted, my expectations were through the floor
 

Some of the worst stuff Arcade Fire have ever done is on that album. There's a couple of tracks I liked but overall it's even worse than I'd expected.

That run of Peter Pan, Chemistry and the two versions of Infinite Content is abysmal.
 
Can't get away with it at all. Put Your Money on Me is a potential great Arcade Fire song, but the rest...

Infinite Content and Chemistry are absolutely shocking.

Can see why they only played the 3 singles when I saw them in Manchester. The rest is shite (except put your money on me and maybe we don't deserve love)

That 4 song run between the two singles in the middle is absolutely wank. Really need to get over this phase of theirs.
 
Got the AF record on now.
Signs of Life is one of the shittest songs I've heard in years and you lot haven't even said it was one of the worst on the record. :lol: Think I give up already.

Gonna wait until the day to see if I can nab a cheaper ticket for Wembley just to see them do the older stuff and relive being a teen again.
 
Love Arcade Fire but got to agree with most of what's been said about the album, hopefully it translates well live or they just play the singles of it...

Their new songs sound no different to me - like Fleetwood Mac meets wacko jacko vocal tics...OK but often a tad repetitive
 
I liked the first album. Forever, The Wire, Don't Save Me and a couple of others were nice little pop songs.

Every song on the second album sounds the same apart from the last two.
