Unsurprisingly I'm loving the stick Fury's getting online for ducking Usyk !

Usyk's team saying they agreed everything for the unification fight but Tysons team didn't and changed his demands for the fight last minute ..... I know there's always spin from either side and there's 4 sides to this situation but with what Eddies saying and Usyk's team its looking likely its either Fury or Whyte that threw the spanner in the works and Joshua and Usyk were all up for allowing the unification, Whyte loves a bit of money so I imagine he could have been paid with the right stipulations .......

eh, it was the stepaside not agreed

But his legacy would then involve a step aside which surely weakens it ?!? Would his legacy not be better by beating the man that beat him and then becoming undisputed in the next fight after that ?!?

Again I think he's got a slim chance of beating Usyk or Fury but I could see it going that he takes the step aside, Usyk beats Fury then KO's Joshua in the rematch for undisputed and then his legacy/record/reputation is properly damaged

Not true. Who ever talks about Lennox Lewis stepping aside for Tyson / Holyfield? Did that affect his legacy? Not one bit.

That would make no sense from what Eddie is saying. Reading between the lines of Hearn's comments about Fury ducking Usyk suggests the step aside was agreed.

By all accounts it sounds like neither Tyson or AJ fancied Usyk.

I think from AJ it would be foolish to go back in with Usyk straight away.

Yet Usyk's manager has claimed it was signed and agreed from their side and everything Hearn has said that it was put to Joshua and everything was pointing to Joshua was ready to agree to it from his situation with a new trainer, being well beat the firs time and Hearn obviously twisting arm to take a massive pay day to do nowt and then have the first shot at the winner for undisputed

Lewis' legacy is marked by that step aside and its been referenced this last week with AJ, don't get me wrong McCall and Rahman are mentioned before the step aside but its there and now with social media and YouTube and the way fans have changed I think it would be more publicised and blown up now for Joshua

The Tyson v Lewis situation was different tbf. They paid Lewis to step aside so that he could fight Bruce Sheldon and they would fight afterwards.

Only after Tyson dropped the WBC belt and decided to take the safer option in Holyfield who was coming out of retirement for heart issues that had been corrected when Holyfield was miraculously cured by a faith heeler. Obviously that backfired but Tyson was a huge favourite in that fight and Holyfield hadn't looked good when he was beaten by Moore and stopped by Bowe in the third fight (add in underwhelming performances v Czyz and Mercer) and they thought he was done. A fight that was seen as 5 years too late and an easy payday for Mike based on them previously being signed to fight.

Lewis would have fought Tyson but Tyson didn't want it at that point. It's really as simple as that. If he hadn't accepted the step aside, Tyson would have dropped the belt and fought Seldom anyway and Lewis would have had to go the same route but with 4 million less Inthe bank.

Exactly this

Makes no odds if AJ didnt step aside and he over-priced himself

Eddies floundering here wanted Fury to do AJs dirty work and fight Usyk. Now Fury has left him high and dry after making AJ out to be a coward willing to step aside and not get his titles back.
Eddie dropping Whyte like a stone when Fury and co offered to fight Usyk.
He knows that Joshuas value is gonna plummet after taking another beating off Usyk. Clinging on in their like a limpet up a whales arse.

Christ. Cringe, especially when one of those in the video gave a load of shit about fighting a YouTuber with one hand etc, then pulled out with injury

Its getting tiresome....might be old fashioned but I prefer my heavyweight champions to act with a bit of humility and dignity now and again.....Vlad....Lennox...comeback Foreman etc
