But neither Wlad or Vitali beat Lewis or the person who best Lewis so a new lineage started with with Klitscko’s so it’s not the massive prestige it’s claimed to be !

I disagree with the claim that Wilder is that much of a win, he’s fought 2/4 decent opponents in 41 n will either lose to Fury in the rematch or Joshua so won’t go down as the most credible rated champion of any era !

Warren has played Hearn and Joshua expertly well this year ! So has Wilder with his claims of a broken arm around the time he was slating Joshua for not taking the fake £50m and the fight
It's a fair shout that the new lineage had started with Klitschko but he was undisputed number 1 and undefeated in 11 years when Fury not only beat him but outboxed him for 12 rounds in Germany. I'd say that was by far the most impressive victory any of the three (Fury, Joshua, Wilder) have had in their careers.

Joshua is still obviously by far the biggest draw but Fury is still the man to beat imo.

It’s a very impressive win considering his 2 years becoming twice his size and 2 crap comeback fights but beating a champion who has fought mainly cruiserweighrs or pass it fighters like Stiverne or a possibly near 50 year old Luis Ortiz ain’t gonna go down as a great champion regardless of his great power

He's not beat Joshua yet

I agree 100%

Just stuck a fiver on Rocky to win at 13/2 with Bet UK | Online Casino & Betting | Bet £5 Get £5 Bet

I think he has a chance. He's big at super middle, started off as light heavy and Canelo is really a light middleweight. Hopefully he can jab his head off but he also has a decent dig too. What time is the fight on UK time, about 2ish with it being East Coast?

I was going to put the £5 free bet on the draw at 33/1. Unfortunately you don't get the free bet until the 1st bet is settled. I'll probably stick it on one of the fights the following weekend.

7pm tonight on Boxnation

An MTK show headlined by Darragh Foley vs Akeem Ennis Brown

2:30am Saturday morning on Boxnation

Gilberto Ramirez vs Jesse Hart - WBO Super Middleweight Title

Only one of the undercard fights look remotely competitive on paper but with the late start time I doubt they'll be showing any more than one fight before the main event

8:30pm tomorrow on BT Sport 1

Sunny Edwards vs Junior Granados

Bradley Skeete and Ryan Garner also in action on the undercard. Main event was supposed to be Daniel Dubois vs Razvan Cojanu but Dubois pulled out yesterday with the flu

11pm tomorrow on Sky Sports Main Event

Saul Alvarez vs Rocky Fielding
David Lemieux vs Tureano Johnson
Tevin Farmer vs Francesco Fonseca - IBF Super Featherweight Title
Katie Taylor vs Eva Wahlstrom - IBF + WBA Lightweight Titles

Former world light-middleweight champion Sadam Ali and the 2017 'Prospect of the Year' Ryan Garcia also on the card

Should be 10/1 at least.

Wouldn't be surprised if Canelo looks slightly laboured tomorrow night. Only 3 months since the Golovkin fight and that sort of turnaround is pretty much unheard of amongst the elite nowadays, even more so given what sort of fight it was

Still think he'll force a stoppage around the 9th/10th.

If Fielding pulls this off your talking Honeyghan Curry territory.....

Not for me. Honeygan was a massive underdog, against a good champion but he was fighting a man of the same stature.

Canelo is a top pound for pound fighter but IMO middleweight is the limit of his size at only 5' 9". He fought for 10 years before first fighting at middleweight 3 years ago. He is fighting someone on the cusp of world class but also a man who would naturally be at least a stone heavier than him. Rocky has height, reach and size advantage. He also has a decent punch and he will be punching someone not used to a super middleweight power. Can he make that tell? Not sure but my fiver says he might :)

Think your overplaying Fielding's weight advantage ;)

If he wins it will be up there with Honeyghans victory......especially for British fighters in the US.

What would your tactics be if you were him going into (Rockys) I mean, for me he has to survive the first 8/9 round (which I don’t see him doing) and going for it late on (can’t see it happening).

Not for me.

If for example Joshua was 4 inches taller and a good stone heavier than an opponent he would dwarf and be able to bully him. Povekin was about that and out boxed Joshua. However, Joshua's size and power won the fight.

It's a simple question of can a far better boxer land telling punches on a far bigger man whilst avoiding his punches on the way in.

Its not just about the weight though.........its levels. Canelo's a proven pound for pound top fighter........look at his resume

GGG couldn't hurt him in two fights either....

I know it is about levels but I'm hoping the size difference negates the levels which it should do to some extent. Obviously Canelo is rightly a big favourite but bar being bullied and caught cold by Callum Smith, an even bigger super middleweight, Fielding has an unbeaten record albeit at a lot lower level.

It was discussed just after the fight was announced when most on here were in disbelief, but Keith obviously rates Fielding more than most on here.

He's 9/1 just to win at Betway and BetVictor and a few others and that's still too short for me.

Obviously it'd be a massive risk given how good a body puncher Canelo is but his best best is probably to make it a messy sort of fight and try and make his size and weight advantage tell on the inside. Might open him up to the body attack but there isn't a chance in hell that he's going to be able to outbox him from distance even with his physical advantages

Think Canelo will stop him late either way
