I wonder what will happen if she ever has to give evidence in court involving a Pakistani, surely her past will be brought up by barristers etc. tainting her evidence.

That would be funny.

i'm not being daft at all. what she said is more than worthy of a racially aggravated public order offence, and if she wasn't one of them, she would be in that position.
You are indeed being daft. Many people use racial slurs in conversation. Very few receive a criminal record. I've never seen anyone get into bother for using the term "bog wog" for example, let alone arrested, charged, and convicted. And you would need to be arrested, charged, taken to court, and found guilty for your scenario to happen.

So yes, you are being daft.

ive seen multiple people kicked out of bars and clubs for using that exact term.

perhaps such leniency is why racism is on the increase in this country then.

It was a bit unpleasant but not directed towards and not heard by the takeaway staff. Maybe she should have just have thought it rather than said it out loud.
If she was screaming "where's me pizza you f***ing pakis!" I would probably have more sympathy for Nyron's point of view here tbh. She didn't though.

The person that was offended could have said "oi, cut that out, you can't talk about people that way/you can't call them that. Really that is as far as it should have gone.

You don't get a criminal record and a failed CRB when you get kicked out of a bar mate. I've been escorted out of shit loads.

I've been with people on a night out friends of friends etc and they have used derogatory terms and I've just asked them to stop. I didn't ring the police.

i know someone who did similar and now has a record. certainly didn't get nfa'd.

In this case they would be relying on the witness for the statement and then it would be her word against hers. That is given any given situation and not particularly this one

Who was it and what sentence did they get?
irrelevant who they were. unpaid work and fine. also appears on DBS checks.
What was the similar? Interested to hear as to why theirs went further.
someone within earshot was offended and reported it to a copper.

i never said you did. also, its a DBS, not a CRB.

i see your point that it wasn't an aggravated direct attack. still wrong to use that language though.
