Forthcoming gigs.

I have no odea but I think that they only release a certain number in each section in presales. These days there seem to be so many but they are all selling different sections/rows.
So probably still a chance of standing.

Might buy seating and I could resell at face value nearer the time if I got standing on Friday?

Only heard the one track off Spotify, sounds a bit Lullabies to Paralyze era QOTSA. Looking forward to hearing more stuff tomorrow.

Also have Idlewild at the Fire Station on Friday. I liked them enough without being a massive fan back in the day. Handy one to take the bairn to though, bag some seats at the side and it's easy enough for him to see what's going on.
The seats at the side are great like. Nearly got them for Friday but ended up just standing.

They were excellent on Friday at the arena
Seen them 3/4 times before, full shanbang, acoustic sitty downy stuff. I’m more than up for going to see them again, but since there’s that many gigs to go to these days, venue, which day it’s on & ticket prices palsy a part.

Got a Jack White ticket cos it’ll be there first time, did Liam Gallagher & John Squire at a daft price on a Monday night cos it was a one off. But James tour extensively & the venues (arena & Darlington rugby ground) are shite, priory would be canny like. Tickets just get dearer everytime.

£30 for Alabama 3 & £20 Bar Stool Preachers & Dead Wet Things last week. Just got tickets for Madra Salach at the Grove for £20.

I woujd like to get tickets for the Strokes but it’s years since I bought tickets for a gig myself. Is this a type where the tickets are likely to go in minutes? If so any tips? 😂

I would guess it would sell pretty quickly like. They’ve only got limited UK dates. Have you signed up to their mailing list & seen if you can get presale access?

I’ve got my act together - got 02 and having a go at presale. Can’t find the prices anywhere - north of £100?

LIFE just announced a few dates including The Grove in Newcastle in October. Saw them at PopRecs a couple of years ago and they were mint. Tickets nice and cheap too.

Probably to be expected but a bit rich. Arena is also a bit of a shit venue too but not much we can do about that.
Ive always found the sound in arena to be ok as long as your in front half, when ya further back it echoes alot, anyways me daughter's buzzing, shes been wanting to see them for years , never thought they would play up here so envisaged a trip away, saved a bit money tbh

Really like The Strokes, don't mind paying good money for a gig ticket because it's probably my main hobby at this point but that's not justifiable to me especially given they'll spend a good whack of the night playing newer music that isn't great.

Was 20% less to see The Cure in Wythenshawe Park later this year.

Got a ticket this morning for Bring Me The Horizon, Count Your Blessings in full in Manchester in July. Listened to very little of the album but I enjoy Pray for Plagues. Favourite band though so had to be done. Although I'm going on my tod.
