Forthcoming gigs.

Got Strokes tickets relatively pain-free this morning, was incredibly lucky; 43rd in the queue on Ticketmaster so strolled in and got them without stress.

Also had an AXS tab open on me browser at the same time and got into that one just as quick, but obvs just sacked it off once I had the Ticketmaster ones. Obviously stars were shining on me today.

Brave Rival were excellent last night at the Cluny. If a rock band is your cup of tea I would thoroughly recommend them. Lindsey Bonnick has such a good voice

Neither a gig in the true sense, nor forthcoming but managed to catch Sunny Afternoon, the KInks musical in Stockton yesterday. Cheap ticket (IYKYK).

Very enjoyable, particularly the first half. The second half spun Ray's problems out a bit but it does come to a fine climax.

At the risk of sounding like anyone of a certain age who has visited a town/city centre recently that they haven't for some time.....but Stockton is a dump. Having the widest high street in England just seems to make it even scruffier. It's obvious money has been spent in a particular area but why anyone would visit here for shopping is a mystery.

Went a few years ago at the empire. Really enjoyed it

Some good announcements for Sunderland this week. Cud at Independent celebrating 40 years of the band. First time I saw Cud was in Sunderland at the university around 1993.
Also Mercury Rev are playing the Fire Station. 25th Anniversary tour for All Is Dream album.

Thanks for this! Somehow missed the marketing email from FS, just got some of the last seats for Mercury Rev after seeing your post👍

Idlewild were excellent.
Saw you enjoying the gig there mate, I took the bairn so we were sat at the side and couldn't get to you quick enough at the end to give a polite hello.

I was never really into them back in the day. My brother had The Remote Part and I liked a few of the heavier tracks but that was about it. I should really have given their first album a go, that was class. Spotify makes it all a lot easier now. Agree with your assessment of excellence last night though, topper gig.

I'd estimate we went to about 3 pubs too many afterwards. Cleos being one of them. 😩

Currently at the Facebar in Reading with the novelty of a Sunday afternoon gig. The Vapors supported by Eddie Roxy & The Adjacent King's.
