He should play a gig thereI wonder if he knows they named an indoor market after him.....
Anyone else at James last night at the Arena? Acoustics awful as usual and I'd be loathe to go back there for a gig (and bar prices outrageous) but a typically energetic and uplifting set from the band with a good mix of songs and thoroughly enjoyable overall. Doves were pretty poor IMO but no surprise there and again to be fair hindered by the sound quality in the soulless shed.
Fingers crossed Jimi is successful in his recovery and makes a return. Read a recent interview and he said he was too early in his sobriety to risk touring, but seemed in good spirits.Doves were ok, glad I saw them, they need a singer though.
I have booked James for April 14th and just booked charlatans for April 29th. Man United home match early May then I might reign in the spending a little. It’s a shite year for gigs. Only got James x2, The Charlatans and 10cc booked. Absolutely nothing after July.
Would love to go see Tom A Smith in Bristol next week but not really feasible.I have booked James for April 14th and just booked charlatans for April 29th. Man United home match early May then I might reign in the spending a little.
Once you start to book tickets and discuss your plans with other people it becomes a bit of an addiction… I am trying to watch the bands that I should have seen live in the 1990s.Would love to go see Tom A Smith in Bristol next week but not really feasible.
I wish I could see James again on this tour and I saw them 3 times last weekOnce you start to book tickets and discuss your plans with other people it becomes a bit of an addiction… I am trying to watch the bands that I should have seen live in the 1990s.
First time for me though I’ve liked them since my brother returned from college one day in the 80s with Stutter on a cassette tape.I wish I could see James again on this tour and I saw them 3 times last week![]()

Moral of the story for younger people is to not delay doing things!

How much do I owe himHave another go. 2nd try was diverted to Ticketmaster using the same code. No problems, apart from the price!

I’ve put my hat in the ring for this. Sundays a bit of a twat but as long as it’s not a fortune for the tickets I’ll brave it.they just announced Tynemouth 12th July

Ah, could have been worse. Sort of what I was expecting tbh. I mean, £70 for Jack White who I’ve never seen before & it might be a rare chance vs £53 for Embrace.
