so the legaue placings are irelevant? yes thats correcet-because the league is finished. lyou do not players get bosnues based on fianl league positon and clusb get prizze money based on it? there has to be an answer to who finsihed where in he legaue-the pay offs are a different competion to determine promotrion-not to finish third in the league. thats why the efl impose different ticketing policy for this competon than for the league.

The 3rd to 6th league placings are irrelevant in respect of promotion.

It's a league competition with a knock out element for four teams.

You can only qualify for the play offs with your league position.

Son isn’t well and I haven’t missed a game all season but I’d rather spend time with him than go on Saturday cos I’ve been working all week but aye shit fan here apparently(!)
The OP title is "If you're choosing not to go on Saturday," but has been taken out of context the entire thread.

To be fair that's partly down to the fact that we have a pretty dreadful pint pulling service downstairs! Like many I want a pint at half time, that's just my choice, I like drinking lager with football and since you can't drink at your seat half time is the time to do it. I've tried going down at half time but by the time you get served in many cases the second half has already started.

I end up going down on about 40 minutes, depending on what's going on; can get served in time to drink the pint, have a piss, and get back to my seat for the second half starting. You're best off going before half time rather than risking missing any of the second half because at least during the first half they have the TVs on, so you can see what's happening. I'd like nothing more than to wait until half time, walk to the concourse, get served a pint, have 5-10 minutes to drink it, go to the toilet then be back in my seat without having missed anything but it just isn't possible

Perfectly put. Folk go on as if people have a problem needing a pint at half time.
It shouldnt be the hassle it is. A friend started working there this season and shes constantly bewildered by the fecking morons around her.
Last game they ran out of lager ffs. When people insisted on it the lasses were walking to the bar next door, very slowly, n bringing one back!

I still don't get it.

Going to London for a minor cup competition but refusing to pop round the corner for an important league match ... and, to some degree, seemingly because of a strange grudge against people who didn't turn out for a game against Newcastle's U21's.

Your twisted words and logic not mine

Aye, using the term shit fans is a bit unnecessary and ott, and I fully take your point ref attendance v skunks.
However to choose not to go and support your team (that you've done all season fair play) in a vital game, is just ludicrous and the lame excuses make it look worse.
Aye 48000 was ott as well, as we all know it was 43000. Where will 30pc of those fkrs be on Saturday.

I'm choosing not to go having seen enough of the shite churned out by Ross for this season ta very much

I’m looking forward to watching it in the pub rather than at the game.

Bit disappointed in the ticket sales mind.

Will exercise my season ticket holder’s right to a Wembo ticket if we get there.

Likewise re season card and Wembley although I decided ages ago I won't be going to Wembley should we make it. Won't bother watching the game as it will be shite.

Saving up in case we get to Wembley.

@shaun61
As I've posted elsewhere, people who attend the home semi final on Saturday (season ticket holders or not) should get first choice for final tickets.
Then season ticket holders who missed Saturday.
Then purchase history.

Wish this had been mentioned before Grumps ;)
Mind blowing
Stewart Donald tweeted an apology and stated that they had "asked more than once to have lower pricing". I have read somewhere that an agreement had to be made with the four clubs involved in the playoffs (they share the revenue).

I guess that the time constraints meant that prices had to be set almost immediately, so an agreement following consultation just wasn't practical

Methven can fuck off to. We should
Found this rather odd. They've been very open, and seem to be running things very well, yet some of our fans couldn't wait to get stuck into them, sneering at Methven trying to rally the fans and hounding Donald off twitter.

Is that the same methven saying we should be happy at where we are in the league. He can get fucked to.

People keep saying that we are league 1 team, always remember we have league 1 players - often as a reason why we haven’t gone up automatically. Shouldn’t be too shocked if we get league 1 crowds if we accept we are a league 1 team.

That being said the crowd we get on Saturday will be far in excess of anything league 1 clubs can expect so even then we should be proud.

Unless you are a mag of course, who put great value on empty seats!

Yep it’s been mentioned on loads of threads and Grumpy has posted the EFL rules.
Can’t believe people are still going on about it

Its going to be properly embarrasing on Saturday isnt it. Attendance will be lower than what Boro would get in our situation. Fans and clubs usually pull together for play offs. Not ours though, fans have spat their dummy because form hasnt been great and its £20 each. Pathetic. We'll get righly slaughtered off fans of any other club and also the media will pick up on it for sure. People questioned Methven when he said expectations were too high. Having less than our average for a play off semi would mean we should all be questioning what size of club we are and where we aim to be in the next 5 or 6 years.
You are absolutely spot on.

Disgrace from our fans if they can't get beyond 30k attendance mind.
