Quite surprised Portsmouth haven’t sold their allocation after twisting about the amount given.

I appreciate the marathon scuppered things but I reckon around 5,000 more tickets would have been sold if it was on the Sunday. 7:30 on a Saturday is unorthodox time to play. Transport south of Sunderland is atrocious too at this time, may have put people off.

The websites of local newspapers are an abomination. Looks like they all use the same template.

At Wembley I doubt many fans wanted Wyke on the pitch that day . Power came on for Grigg for extra strength in midfield, as we’d lost a grip. If we’d gone 442 with Grigg Wyke , we’d have been more vulnerable. Ok, it ended 1-1, but you could see what the manager was trying to do. Wyke had not looked fit or sharp or confident.
Jack, I'm behind you mate, but Power for Grigg and Gooch up front was one of your worst moves of the season.

Baffling.

Trains to boro etc are actually now better than last few decades.

I see what you mean but it still doesnt make it a good turn out just because you're comparing it to other League 1 clubs.

Absolute BS. Yet another excuse man, just f**king turn up no matter what instead of acting like spoilt bairns.
Im turning up and its not BS. The football has been negative and thats why we have only sold 22,000 tickets

It is odd, dont understand it myself. Also remember when you's were in the CL and your gates were lower than league games, dont get it. The place should be packed out tomorrow.

Yes. There were some low ones but the games against the likes of Juventus, Inter and Barcelona of the south were still well attended from what I remember.

Don't think it's got owt to do with the Checkatrade. Following the final we won at Accrington and Rochdale. After the Rochdale game we were all up a height. The Coventry game was a shock to the system, then momentum was lost when we couldn't beat Portsmouth or Peterborough. By the time we were getting beat off Fleetwood and Southend it didn't matter anymore. Those last four games, if not just the last two, will be as much a reason as any people aren't bothering as any other. Which is a shame.

I do find the club's approach to be a bit odd mind. Considering the noise they've made to try and draw big crowds earlier in the season it's all been very low-key and left to fan groups for one of the most important games of the season. Problems to the point that some people who want to go have found it hard to buy tickets. Saw it mentioned earlier in the thread maybe they've gauged the mood and didn't want to make things worse. My take on that though is they've done the easy part, pulling in those crowds when everyone's happy. Now's the time it would make a difference and they seem to have left it. All while fans have a go at each other about only being interested during the easy part when everyone's happy.
All about opinions but I know from supporters who occasionally go with us playing with no strikers at Wembley finished them this season. Hopefully we can get them back at some point but we wont with negative football. The amount or lack of tickets sold for tommorow tells me that

I was at the game and the attendance was poor. Not sure what relevance is to this game?

You seem to be saying its going to be a poor gate because of the negative play but we had a poor attendance in the Man U semi without the negative tactics I think its more down to the fact the game is live on sky like the league cup semi.

United gate was so low because it was not too long after New Year and Christmas.
