I agree completely with that. However the league is over and this is now a separate competition. So how can this be our lowest home attendance?
One of the worst excuses I've seen so far is "it's too late to take the kids out". Which to me translates as " if I go to the match with the bairns I can't get pissed, so will buy loads of cans and sit in front of the telly".
Are the play off part of the league campaign? I've always felt it was a separate competition that you qualify for as a result of where you finish. What?
Getting tickets in L29 in North stand, no fcuker sitting there, who is joining me![]()

Weren't all yellow cards wiped off though? It's classed as a league game. Phillips goal in the play off final counted in his league total
I'd say getting promoted is more important than the Checkatrade final. But maybe that's just me.
Well I'm having my own rules. They make more sense.Yes, it’s part of the league competition.

That's fair enough. I have children of my own and completely understand that. That maybe true for older kids but unfair on parents who have younger ones that usually go to bed around 8pm.
It is odd, dont understand it myself. Also remember when you's were in the CL and your gates were lower than league games, dont get it. The place should be packed out tomorrow. It's going to look odd if your lowest home league attendance of the season occurs in your most important game of the season.
Don't think it's got owt to do with the Checkatrade. Following the final we won at Accrington and Rochdale. After the Rochdale game we were all up a height. The Coventry game was a shock to the system, then momentum was lost when we couldn't beat Portsmouth or Peterborough. By the time we were getting beat off Fleetwood and Southend it didn't matter anymore. Those last four games, if not just the last two, will be as much a reason as any people aren't bothering as any other. Which is a shame. However, given the negative tactics and poor football I can see why people cant get excited about it. Rightly or wrongly the Wembley final killed off all the momentum we had. 45,000 of us there and we played 1/4 of the game without a striker...raising the white flag on that day when we all paid a lot of money to be there has killed the enthusiasum of a lot of people. Its sad but true.
Let’s not forget that whilst we’re disappointed in the potential attendance it will be second highest crowd that Pompey will of played in front of for a non cup game this season, the highest was also at the SOL
Also Charlton are making a big fuss about selling 20000 for their home tie with Doncaster
Booze has a lot to answer for as well. There will be a canny chunk of people who won't put anything before a couple of drinks. They probably won't admit it, but the match will be getting in the way of drinking time.
At the Doncaster match the other week the little'un needed the toilet about 10 minutes into the second half. I couldn't believe how many people were down there drinking pints and acting casual as if they were in a pub. They seemed to have no intention on going back to their seat.

You do get a trophy for 'winning' it I supposeI honestly don't know where to start with this. Unbelievable.
