Don't agree give him the gloves and bat him at 6 or 7. He was excellent with the tail when he played as the keeper. We are not strong enough to have the luxury of playing Poynter and Richardson.
To think last season when they started this experiment then someone like Harte did not make the side.

He played 8 matches though, and there was a marginal difference in average between him and Poynter.

Surely it is clear who is the better batsmen though. No bother playing Poynter in the one day stuff but not in the championship at the expense of another batsmen.
