Have you had Thornbridge Green Mountain?
No but I have a few cans in a mixed box I bought from 1 of the beer sites. Any good?
First time I’d heard of Elvis brew
just texted our lass to get me some if shes in Sainsbury’s
Nope. Martin Dickie worked at Thornbridge and was on the team that developed Jaipur. Later left and setup Brewdog with James WattIsn't it the other way around? Jaipur based on punk MK1?
Ah right. So the MK1 copied Jaipur?Nope. Martin Dickie worked at Thornbridge and was on the team that developed Jaipur. Later left and setup Brewdog with James Watt
Aye it certainly had similarities.Ah right. So the MK1 copied Jaipur?
Jaipur at 2 packs for £9,
Had a week in Bakewell in the Peak District last summer. The pubs were generally dull as anything but found a micro pub that always had Thornbridge stuff on draught. It was lovely.Jaipur came out in 2005.
Was a feature in Ferment magazine about the biggest most important craft beers. Punk and Jaipur were 1 and 2, iirc. Cant remember which order.
Thronvridge were also doing Green Mountain, in a green can, then a little while later brew dog were doing hazy jane which tastes similar also in a green can. Interesting

Was one of the few benefits of working in Buxton for a whileHad a week in Bakewell in the Peak District last summer. The pubs were generally dull as anything but found a micro pub that always had Thornbridge stuff on draught. It was lovely.
Unfiltered and unpasturised makes a whopping difference. Mind, shouldn't this conversation be on the craft beer thread, not the "brewdog are wankers" one?Very much like hazy jane, but better imo
Ah right. So the MK1 copied Jaipur?
Same bloke and same recipie, basically.Aye it certainly had similarities.

That MK1 punk you brewed was very nice.Same bloke and same recipie, basically.
The Punk that became popular was a very different beer.
Funny, I look at my life now, and wonder how the actual fuck I ever had 4 spare hours to brew and bottle a batch of beer once a week. That MK1 punk you brewed was very nice.
Hahah. That's what three little terrors do.Funny, I look at my life now, and wonder how the actual fuck I ever had 4 spare hours to brew and bottle a batch of beer once a week.
I have to plan when I fit in a shite most of the time nowadays
