Just bought a Samsung quantum dot curved TV and the samsung sound bar- Picture and sound quality is exceptional, depends how much you want to pay really,TV alone was £1700.
They were awesome for plasma, not sure they are any better then the top 3/4 manufacturers now though? Certainly a good brand though, as long as you ignore the cheap ones that they don't make themselves, which is a shit trick.Panasonic every time

Still seem to get quoted by retailers ,was it you said it was all rigged by suppliers? There wouldn't be any 2star reviews if that was the case.Used them as and when and always come up trumps for meSimple things like picture quality, image processing. They're sometimes poor in cheap ones from what I've seen.
Thought that was a joke these days?
Cnet and trustedreviews for me. And then avforums.

Might be something in that!Still seem to get quoted by retailers ,was it you said it was all rigged by suppliers? There wouldn't be any 2star reviews if that was the case.Used them as and when and always come up trumps for me
Always found the AV forum full of tosspots
Certainly one very good way to go about it.just gan to Richer sounds
sorted.. see them in the flesh and see the user interfaces
Can see how it would work but they give one LG 5 stars and another 2.Might be something in that!
I think it was on AV Forums where they said that What Hi Fi get all their sponsorship from the exact companies that they are reviewing - so they are careful with what they say depending on who's pushing them their funding at the time.
Same with those lasses mags for beauty products. There was a big story about how they rarely say anything is bad, as they'd lose their ad revenue overnight - so nothing in those mags is genuine.
Certainly one very good way to go about it.
You're probably right. But you never know what goes on in the background. Can see how it would work but they give one LG 5 stars and another 2.
I think the fact people trust the reviews is what sells it and how many other outlets have the companies got to advertise stuff?Particularly niche hifi stuff
On top of that 80% of punters go by the biggest screen for the cheapest price as a good Tv
Same with What Car,i'm looking up for a new company motor. The Citroen came last in the test and that very motor is advertised in that issue .
Can't see how they make any money these days, magazines are an old format, they do all that reviewing and we access it for nowt. While we're on, can anyone recommend me a HD telly for the caravan? Needs to have excellent viewing angles.
20-odd inch. I think 32" would be wider than the table its going on.
Happy to buy a second hand one. Would like to spend less than £150 as it'll only get used every other weekend

Not all Pansonics are decent anymore as the get other manufacturers to make some of their TV's.Panasonic every time
Vostrom or something make their budget range. Which is a massive con imoNot all Pansonics are decent anymore as the get other manufacturers to make some of their TV's.
I am still on my panasonic plasma 42" last 8 years or so. Still well happy with it.They were awesome for plasma, not sure they are any better then the top 3/4 manufacturers now though? Certainly a good brand though, as long as you ignore the cheap ones that they don't make themselves, which is a shit trick.
I only just replaced my 7 year old one. It was great, but the panel was on its way - blue smears in the middle of the screen whenever there was a lot of white in the picture. Funnily enough, the exact same issue happened to my mam's identical set.I am still on my panasonic plasma 42" last 8 years or so. Still well happy with it.
When that packs in I might get one of these android tellys with the whatsit. Not plasma the new thing.
